Osteoporosis among Postmenopausal Women Attending the Orthopedics Department of a Tertiary Care Hospital: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Osteoporosis and resulting fracture is a major public health concern worldwide. With increase in life expectancy, osteoporosis and fragility fracture is expected to be more prevalent. It is associated with high patient morbidity, while hip and vertebral fractures have high mortality. The real burden of the problem is yet to be established in developing countries like Nepal. This study aims to find out the prevalence of osteoporosis among postmenopausal women visiting a tertiary care hospital. ⋯ Prevalence of osteoporosis was high. Women with history of fragility fracture are at increased risk of another fragility fracture. It is hence necessary to have awareness programs and early screening to minimize the magnitude of morbidity and mortality associated with osteoporosis.

Practices Regarding COVID-19 among Online Respondents in Nepal: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
The alarming rate of rise in COVID-19 cases led to lockdown in Nepal in order to curb the transmission and spread of the virus among the general public. This research was conducted to know the practices regarding the COVID-19 among the general population of Nepal. The aim of the study is to find out the value of different practices regarding COVID-19 which includes use of face masks, avoiding crowded places and hand hygiene. ⋯ The study concludes good practices regarding COVID-19 among Nepalese population but is still not satisfying. This depicted adequate awareness among the public as a result of adequate dissemination of information and resources during the lockdown.

Survival of Resin-Bonded Fixed Metal-Ceramic Dental Prostheses Placed in the Anterior Region: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Resin-bonded fixed dental prostheses have an advantage over conventional fixed dental prostheses in terms of conservation of tooth structure but many clinicians refrain from using this treatment plan over the concern of the retention of those prostheses. In anterior region, it has better survival rate because of the less masticatory force. This study was conducted to find out the survival of resin-bonded fixed metal-ceramic dental prostheses placed in anterior region of a tertiary care hospital. ⋯ This study showed that the survival after five years of resin-bonded fixed dental metal ceramic was high. The study's findings are comparable with international studies.

Surgical Procedure among Patients with Foreign Body Obstruction in Food Passage in a Tertiary Care Hospital: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Foreign body is any object in a region it is not meant to be, where it can cause harm if immediate medical attention is not sought. Its removal by surgical procedure is one of the commonest surgeries done. The objective is to find out prevalence of the patients who underwent operation for foreign bodies obstruction in food passage in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in a tertiary care centre. ⋯ Prevalence of the patients who underwent operation for foreign bodies obstruction in food passage in a tertiary care hospital is high. Their removal by rigid oesophagoscopy is one of the commonest surgical procedures done in tertiary care center.

Postpartum Hemorrhage in Pregnancy beyond 40 Weeks of Gestation in a Tertiary Care Hospital: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Postpartum hemorrhage is defined as a blood loss of 500ml or more within 24 hours after birth. It is the leading cause of maternal mortality in low-income countries and the primary cause of nearly one-quarter of all maternal deaths globally. It occurs in up to 18% of total births. Post-dated pregnancy is a high-risk pregnancy with increased maternal morbidity. This study aims to determine the prevalence of postpartum hemorrhage in pregnancy beyond 40 weeks of gestation in a tertiary care hospital. ⋯ Postpartum haemorrhage prevalence is low among the pregnant women beyond 40 weeks compared to the standard study. Postpartum hemorrhage is the common leading cause of maternal mortality. So high-risk cases should be identified and active management should be done to reduce morbidity and mortality.
