Study of Body Mass Index among Medical Students of a Medical College in Nepal: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Changes in the lifestyle, food habits, lack of nutritious diet, stress, physical inactivity increases the body mass index among adults. Excess weight gain is an important risk factor for non-communicable diseases such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and some cancers (endometrial, breast, colon). Thus, this study aims to find out body mass index of medical students of a medical college in Nepal. ⋯ Comparing with a similar study done in Nepal previously, we found a higher prevalence of overweight in medical students whereas majority of medical students had normal weight. Factors affecting body mass index in medical students should be explored further.

Prevalence of Foreign Body Aspiration in Children in a Tertiary Care Hospital.
Foreign body aspiration is a common problem in children with signifi cant mortality and morbidity. This study aims to determine the prevalence of foreign body aspiration in children in a tertiary care hospital of Nepal. ⋯ The prevalence of foreign body aspiration in children was low, which is similar to other studies. Foreign body aspiration may lead to dreadful complications. Therefore, both the clinicians and the public need to be cautious about it.

Personality Disorders among Patients with Mental and Behavioral Disorders due to Psychoactive Substance Use in a Tertiary Care Center of Nepal: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Personality disorders is comprised of deeply ingrained and enduring behavioral patterns, manifesting themselves as inflexible responses to a broad range of personal and social situations." Personality Disorders are frequently occurring among patients with substance use disorders. Co-occurrence of substance use disorders and personality disorder is associated with a greater functional impairment affecting treatment adherence. This study's objective was to find out the prevalence of personality disorders among substance use disorders from the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health, of a tertiary care center of Nepal. ⋯ Present study indicates that personality disorders were highly comorbid with patients of substance use disorders with either single or multiple personality disorders. Personality disorders mostly found in substance use disorders are Emotional Unstable Borderline Type, Anxious Personality Disorder, and Emotional Unstable impulsive Type.

Perception towards Online Teaching-learning in Medical Education among Medical Students during COVID-19 Outbreak in Nepal: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
The outbreak of coronavirus disease in Nepal led medical colleges to suspend in person teaching-learning activities and ultimately online platform was introduced to deliver the contents of medical education. The objective of this study was to describe the perception of medical students towards online teaching-learning introduced during the COVID-19 outbreak in Nepal. ⋯ Surveyed medical students in Nepal were found to perceive many problems in online teaching-learning. Moreover, management and faculty members need to take the necessary measures for enhancing the online teaching-learning quality.

Facemasks Readily Available in Common Stores used by Nepalese, How much Protection is Enough Protection against COVID-19?
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization strongly recommend that people wear face masks to cover their mouths and noses while they are out and about in any other public area. There are a lot of masks available on the market, and people get a lot of mixed messages about what is safe. This article explores what kind of facemasks are readily available in Nepali General stores and what are the things to keep in mind before buying a mask. We will also discuss how many times a face mask can be used, proper ways to store them, correct ways to use facemasks, and the rationale behind its use.
