Personality Disorders among Patients with Mental and Behavioral Disorders due to Psychoactive Substance Use in a Tertiary Care Center of Nepal: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Personality disorders is comprised of deeply ingrained and enduring behavioral patterns, manifesting themselves as inflexible responses to a broad range of personal and social situations." Personality Disorders are frequently occurring among patients with substance use disorders. Co-occurrence of substance use disorders and personality disorder is associated with a greater functional impairment affecting treatment adherence. This study's objective was to find out the prevalence of personality disorders among substance use disorders from the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health, of a tertiary care center of Nepal. ⋯ Present study indicates that personality disorders were highly comorbid with patients of substance use disorders with either single or multiple personality disorders. Personality disorders mostly found in substance use disorders are Emotional Unstable Borderline Type, Anxious Personality Disorder, and Emotional Unstable impulsive Type.

Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension is a rare occurrence in young, physically fit male and a diagnosis of exclusion among most patients presenting with signs and symptoms of raised intracranial pressure. Here we describe a case of a young male in the ideal weight range with no previous exposure to offending chemicals presented with a history of headache, obscuration of vision, and photopsia. On examination, there were no positive neurological findings. ⋯ Magnetic resonance imaging scan of the brain and orbits were normal. The patient was diagnosed and managed in primary care setting after neurosurgical consultation. Though rare, we should suspect idiopathic intracranial hypertension in ideal body weighted male if the headache is persistent after other causes of headache have been ruled out.

Case ReportsUnusual Presentation of Extruded Disc: A Case Report.
A 38-year male presented with severe low back pain radiating towards right lower limb which was progressively increasing with decrease in motor power of the ipsilateral ankle dorsiflexion and toe extension. Magnetic Resonance study with gadolinium suggested dorsal epidural migration of the extruded disc at L4-L5 level compressing the thecal sac, which mimics the differential diagnosis epidural abscess, epidural hematoma, synovial cyst and extradural space-occupying lesion. Open lumbar discectomy was done, and the large, herniated disc was found dorsal to the thecal sac adhering dura mater, which was removed meticulously and the patient was symptomatically better postoperatively. The power of his lower limb gradually increased by physiotherapy in subsequent follow-up.

Prevalence of Foreign Body Aspiration in Children in a Tertiary Care Hospital.
Foreign body aspiration is a common problem in children with signifi cant mortality and morbidity. This study aims to determine the prevalence of foreign body aspiration in children in a tertiary care hospital of Nepal. ⋯ The prevalence of foreign body aspiration in children was low, which is similar to other studies. Foreign body aspiration may lead to dreadful complications. Therefore, both the clinicians and the public need to be cautious about it.

Case ReportsAdenosarcoma of Uterus- Rare Biphasic Malignant Tumor: A Case Report.
Uterine adenosarcoma is a rare variant of mixed Mullerian tumors comprised of neoplastic glands with the benign appearance and sarcomatous stroma. The epithelium most often consists of endometrium- like cells, while the sarcomatous component usually shows low-grade homologous uterine sarcoma. These tumors present as a pelvic mass or an enlarged uterus with abnormal vaginal bleeding. Here, we present a case of 61 years old postmenopausal female patient with chief complaints of excessive vaginal bleeding and urine retention.
