Prevalence of Post Tonsillectomy Haemorrhage at a Tertiary Care Centre in Nepal.
Tonsillectomy is one of the common ENT surgical procedures. Post-tonsillectomy haemorrhage remains a frequent complication which can be potentially life-threatening. The objective of the present study was to calculate the prevalence of haemorrhage following a tonsillectomy at a tertiary care centre. ⋯ The prevalence of post-tonsillectomy haemorrhage was high at our centre during the study period of two years. It was common in adults, males and surgery done for recurrent tonsillitis using electrocauterization.

Prevalence of Malnutrition among Elderly People Living in a Rural Area of Nepal.
Elderly population is more likely to suffer from malnutrition due to aging-associated factors that influence nutritional status like loss of appetite, swallowing difficulties, digestive problems, and chronic illness. There is insufficient information related to the nutritional status of the elderly in Nepal. Hence, this study aims to determine the prevalence of malnutrition among elderly people living in the rural area of the Kavrepalanchok district. ⋯ The prevalence of malnutrition and risk of malnutrition is high in the study population. Interventions to improve the nutritional status of the elderly should focus primarily on older people, females, and those who have co-morbidities.

Anatomical Positions of Superior Parathyroid Gland with regard to the Zuckerkandl Tubercle in Patients Undergoing Thyroidectomy in a Tertiary Care Centre: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Zuckerkandl tubercle is a prominent anatomical structure of the thyroid lobe. Identification and preservation of recurrent laryngeal nerve and parathyroid glands during thyroid surgery can be made easier through assessment of their relationship with the Zuckerkandl tubercle. This study aims to determine the anatomical relationship between Zuckerkandl tubercle and superior parathyroid in patients who underwent thyroidectomy in a tertiary care center. ⋯ Zuckerkandl tubercle has a consistent relationship with the superior parathyroid and can be used as an important landmark for identifying superior parathyroid during thyroid surgery.

Knowledge of Medical Students and Faculties of a Medical College Towards Human Body and Organ Donation: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
The study of clinical anatomy is inseparable from cadaveric dissection. However, scarcity of cadavers is observed all over the world. So, body donation is propounded and is a major source of cadavers worldwide. However, nowadays, there is a scarcity of cadavers for the body dissection in the medical course & also due to the rise in the number of medical institutions in Nepal. This research aimed to find out the knowledge of medical and nursing students at a medical college regarding human body and organ donation. ⋯ We need a proper voluntary body donation act to facilitate medical teaching with the proper motivation of people for this generous gift to further the knowledge and expand the field of medical science.

Clinico-pathological Spectrum of Oral Cavity Lesions at a Tertiary Care Center in Central Nepal: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Head and neck cancer is the sixth most common cancer in the world. The disease burden is increasing at an alarming rate in developing Southeast Asian countries. This study aims to report the histopathological spectrum of oral cavity lesions at a tertiary cancer center in central Nepal. ⋯ Malignant lesions are the most common histopathological findings in the oral cavity lesion with squamous cell carcinoma type. Oral cancer is common cancer that can be prevented and cured if detected early.
