ReviewClinical Profile of COVID-19 in Children and Research Progress on Angiotensin-converting Enzyme 2: A Mini-review.
The cases of coronavirusdisease 2019 in children have been increasing with the ongoing pandemic. The finding suggests children have mild symptoms and a short course of the disease. Angiotensinconverting enzyme-2 mediates entry of the virus into the cell, the combination of virus and ACE2 leads to an increase in activity of angiotensin II, resulting in acute injury to lungs, myocardium and other organs. ⋯ The ACE2 plays an important role in the infection progression and clinical characteristics of COVID-19. Works on ACE2 and virus spike protein have future prospects of strategic information on prevention, management as well as vaccine development. Keywords: children;Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19);SARS-Cov-2;angiotensin-Converting Enzyme 2 (ACE2).

Prevalence of Psychoactive Drug Use among Medical Students in a Medical College of Nepal.
Psychoactive drug is a worrisome and emerging global problem. This is a disturbing matter, especially in the case of medical students, as it affects not only their health and academic performance alone but their clinical efficiency as well. This study aims to determine the prevalence of psychoactive drug use among medical students in a medical college in Nepal. ⋯ Even almost half of the students were using some form of psychoactive drugs, the majority of them were occasional users. Proper counseling needs to be done to address this problem. Further study should be conducted to address the influencing factors and adverse outcomes.

Functional Outcome Estimation of Bimalleolar Ankle Fractures Treated by Open Reduction and Internal Fixation at a Tertiary Care Center: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Ankle fractures account for about 9% of all fractures in adults. Open reduction and internal fixation is the preferred treatment for such injuries. However, surgery is not free of complications, and outcomes following surgery are not always satisfactory. Therefore, this study aimed to estimate the functional outcomes of bimalleolar ankle fractures treated by open reduction and internal fixation. ⋯ Functional outcomes following surgical treatment of bimalleolar ankle fractures are mostly excellent to good and complications following surgery are few, therefore, surgery is a better option of treatment in bimalleolar ankle fractures.

Study of Oxygen Saturation by Pulse Oximetry and Arterial Blood Gas in ICU Patients: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Pulse oximetery is expected to be an indirect estimation of arterial oxygen saturation. However, there often are gaps between SpO2 and SaO2. This study aims to study on arterial oxygen saturation measured by pulse oximetry and arterial blood gas among patients admitted in intensive care unit. ⋯ Pulse Oximetry has high accuracy in estimating oxygen saturation with sp02>90% and can be used instead of arterial blood gas.

Prevalence of Tracheoesophageal Anomaly Cases among Neonates Undergoing Surgery in a Tertiary Care Children’s Hospital.
Tracheo-oesophageal anomaly is the abnormal communication between trachea and oesophagus. The most common type of tracheo-oesophageal anomaly is oesophageal atreasia with distal tracheo oesophageal fistula. Tracheo-oesophageal anomaly is a common neonatal problem requiring an urgent surgery. Tracheo-oesophageal anomaly can be diagnosed as an isolated malformation or as part of polymalformative syndrome with possible vertebrae anomalies also known as Vacterl syndrome. The aim of the study is to find out the prevalence of tracheo-oesophageal anomaly cases among neonates undergoing surgery in a tertiary care childrens hospital in Nepal. ⋯ Tracheo-oesophageal anomaly constitutes a major portion of neonatal disease condition requiring surgery in Nepal.
