Utilization of Pre-Anesthetic Medications for Major Surgical Procedures at a Tertiary Care Center: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Drug utilization research is an important tool to analyze the use of drugs with special emphasis on medical, social, and economic consequences in society. This study aims to find out the utilization of pre-anesthetic medications in a major surgical procedure. ⋯ The most commonly administered pre-anesthetic drugs were midazolam, pethidine, glycopyrrolate, and ondansetron. The incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting the patient within 24 hours after surgery was significantly very low.

Case ReportsAppendicular and Caecal Fecalith causing Perforation: A Case Report.
Fecalith is a concretion of dry compact feces or hard stony mass of faeces in the intestinal tract. Though appendicular fecoliths are commonly encountered, caecal fecoliths are rare entities. Fecoliths are amenable to conservative management with laxatives and enemas but surgical management prevents recurrence. ⋯ He was intraoperatively diagnosed as gangrenous and perforated retrocaecal appendix with multiple small fecaliths and a large fecalith on cecum with perforation. Appendectomy and primary repair of caecal perforation done. Histological examination of perforated margin confirmed as an inflammatory lesion.

Morbidity of School Children in Panauti Municipality of Kavrepalanchowk: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
School health has been considered as a high priority intervention in developing countries but it has not been prioritized in Nepal. The objectives of the study are to find out the prevalence of morbidity and nutritional status in school children. ⋯ The health and nutritional status of school children in this study were found to be satisfactory compared to other studies. The present study emphasized oral health. The school health program is important in the school for the prevention of diseases like a parasitic infestation, improving personal hygiene, and nutritional status.

Many of us may be unknowingly suffering from information disorder syndrome. It is more prevalent due to the digitized world where the information flows to every individual's phone, tablet and computer in no time. Information disorder syndrome is the sharing or developing of false information with or without the intent of harming and they are categorized as misinformation, disinformation and malinformation. ⋯ The management of this disorder requires the management of false information, which is rumor surveillance, targeted messaging and community engagement. Repeated sufferers at the Grade 1 level, all sufferers from grade 2 and 3 levels need psycho-social counseling and sometimes require strong regulations and enforcement to control such information disorder. The most critical intervention is to be mindful of the fact that not all posts in social media and news are real, and need to be interpreted carefully.

Mobile Phone Dependence among Undergraduate Students of a Medical College of Eastern Nepal: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Mobile phones are becoming increasingly indispensable in daily life of the students which has resulted in mobile phone dependence. The objective of the study was to find the prevalence of mobile phone dependence among undergraduate students of a medical college of Eastern Nepal. ⋯ The present study found that mobile phone dependence was common among the undergraduate medical students. These results suggest the need to develop educational programme to educate the students to use mobile phone meaningfully.
