Case ReportsPostoperative Visual Loss Following Spine Surgery: A Case Report.
Postoperative visual loss is a rare but devastating complication of non-ophthalmic surgery. Its aetiology is poorly understood and multiple associated factors have been proposed. ⋯ The combination of mild intraoperative hypotension, anaemia, prone positioning, prolonged surgery and anaesthesia may have contributed to postoperative visual loss in our patient. Case ReportsGiant Arcuate Lupus Vulgaris with Rapid Progression: A Case Report.
Lupus vulgaris is the commonest form of cutaneous tuberculosis. It is a chronic and slowly progressive disease. ⋯ Here, we report a case of 75-year-old man with a giant lupus vulgaris rapidly progressing in just two year's duration. Keywords: cutaneous tuberculosis;lupus vulgaris; Nepal.

WHO defines adolescent pregnancy as any pregnancy from a girl who is 10-19 years of age, the age being defined as her age at the time the baby is born. Globally, adolescent birth rate is 44 per 1000 women aged 15-19 years whereas 33 per 1000 in South East Asian region. The main objective of the study is to find the prevalence of adolescent pregnancy in a tertiary care hospital. ⋯ Adolescent pregnancy in developed countries is usually outside of marriage and carries a social stigma but in the context of developing countries it usually happens within marriage and half of them are planned reflecting educational status and contraception knowledge. Effective interventions need to be developed like strict enforcement of laws prohibiting teenage marriage.

Case ReportsSevere Birth Asphyxia without Sequelae: A Case Report.
Perinatal asphyxia is one of the major causes of neonatal morbidity and mortality. It mainly causes neurodevelopmental delay leading to hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy. We present here the case of a preterm male baby of 1670 grams born at 31+3 weeks of gestation delivered by 25-year-old primi mother through vaginal delivery with history of umbilical cord prolapse. ⋯ But heart rate did not improve despite of using all form of resuscitation procedure including intubation and drugs. After 2 hours, baby cried spontaneously and later baby was managed in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit according to the neonatal unit protocol of the hospital. Prevalence of Hypertension in Adult Population of A Village of Nepal.
Hypertension is a cardiovascular disorder rapidly emerging as a major health problem in developing countries. Uncontrolled or poorly managed hypertension leads to several complications such as coronary heart disease, peripheral vascular disease and kidney disease. These complications account for approx 9.4 million deaths worldwide every year. Consequently, it is an urgent need for authorities to act upon this issue. This study was done to determine the prevalence of Hypertension in Deurali village of Nuwakot. ⋯ The prevalence of hypertension was found to be lower than the previous study done in similar settings.
