Ultrasound Guided Biopsy among Patients with Lung Lesions Undergoing Procedures in Interventional Radiology of a Tertiary Care Centre.
Minimally invasive image-guided percutaneous core needle biopsy can obtain tissue samples for diagnosis of subpleural lung cancer, which is crucial for the correct management of lung lesions. Common complications of lung biopsy include pneumothorax, parenchymal haemorrhage and haemoptysis. The study aimed to determine the prevalence of ultrasound-guided biopsy among patients with lung lesions undergoing procedures in interventional radiology of a tertiary care centre. ⋯ biopsy; interventional radiology; lung neoplasms; prevalence.

Case ReportsPrimary Sjogren's Syndrome with Bicytopenia: A Case Report.
Sjogren's syndrome is a chronic multisystem autoimmune disease presenting a wide variety of clinical manifestations ranging from mild sicca symptoms to severe systemic symptoms involving pulmonary, renal, musculoskeletal, cutaneous, and haematological diseases. These symptomatic diversities can delay the correct diagnosis of Sjogren's Syndrome for a long time. Here, we report the case of a 59-year-old woman with fatigue and weakness in whom bicytopenia was documented. A thorough bicytopenia workup brought us to the final diagnosis of Sjogren's syndrome. Hydroxychloroquine was started which normalized the patient's blood parameters and clinical symptoms. The haematological alterations in Sjogren's syndrome are not pathognomonic. However, only bicytopenia can be the initial presentation of Sjogren's syndrome as in our patient. Therefore, inexplicable bicytopenia in a middle-aged female may alert the clinician about the possibility of Sjogren's syndrome. ⋯ autoimmune diseases; case reports; cytopenia; sjogren's syndrome.

Obstructive Sleep Apnea Hypopnea Syndrome among Obese Patients Visiting the Outpatient Department of a Tertiary Care Centre.
Obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome is a major health public problem, with a possible contribution to cardiovascular disease and obesity. There is evidence of a bidirectional relationship between obesity and obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome. There is little to no reporting of obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome in rural subjects. The study aimed to find out the prevalence of obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome among obese patients visiting the outpatient Department of a tertiary care centre. ⋯ obesity; obstructive sleep apnea syndrome; polysomnography; waist circumference.

Cutaneous Reactions Following Anticancer Drug Therapy in a Tertiary Care Centre.
Cutaneous reactions are dermatological abnormalities that can occur after anticancer drug therapy in cancer patients. Cutaneous reactions can range from mild dermatological disorders to life-threatening medical conditions and may worsen a patient's quality of life. This study aimed to find out the prevalence of cutaneous reactions following anticancer drug therapy in a tertiary care centre. ⋯ cancer; chemotherapy; drug side effects; skin.
