Hashimoto's Thyroiditis among Patients with Thyroid Disorders Visiting a Tertiary Care Centre.
Hashimoto's thyroiditis is a chronic autoimmune lymphocytic thyroiditis characterised by thyroid autoantibodies. Early detection and treatment of this condition help in reducing the morbidity and mortality associated with it. The aim of the study was to find out the prevalence of Hashimoto's thyroiditis among patients with thyroid disorders visiting a tertiary care centre. ⋯ anti-thyroid peroxidase antibodies; Hashimoto's thyroiditis; thyroid disorders.

Pregnancy among Women Undergoing Intrauterine Insemination in a Centre.
Intrauterine insemination is often performed as the first-line treatment option in many subfertility cases. Successful intrauterine insemination treatment among indicated couples helps to reduce unnecessary in-vitro fertilisation treatment. Although widely practised, the data on pregnancy after intrauterine insemination treatment is limited. The aim of this study was to find out the prevalence of pregnancy among women undergoing intrauterine insemination in a centre. ⋯ artificial insemination; Nepal; pregnancy rate.

Poisoning among Autopsies Conducted in the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology in a Tertiary Care Centre.
Poisoning is a serious public health issue in developing countries like Nepal. Information about poisoning may be helpful for poisoning prevention and hospital treatment, aiding in the development of measures that lower the morbidity and mortality associated with poisoning. This study aimed to find out the prevalence of poisoning among autopsies conducted in the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology in a tertiary care centre. ⋯ autopsy; organophosphate poisoning; poisoning; suicide.

Knowledge of Cervical Cancer Screening and Prevention by Human Papillomavirus Deoxyribonucleic Acid and Human Papillomavirus Vaccination among Women Attending a Tertiary Care Centre.
Cervical cancer is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality among women globally as well as in Nepal. It is attributable to persistent infection by high-risk human papillomavirus, especially human papillomavirus-16 and human papillomavirus-18. The aim of this study was to find out the knowledge of cervical cancer screening and prevention by human papillomavirus deoxyribonucleic acid and human papillomavirus vaccination among women attending a tertiary care centre. ⋯ cervical cancer; human papillomavirus; pap smear; sexual intercourse; vaccination.

Insights into Children with Down Syndrome: A Medical Student's Perspective.
Down syndrome is the most common chromosomal abnormality among liveborn infants that frequently causes intellectual disability. However, with proper medical care and support, children with Down syndrome can still lead fulfilling lives and achieve their full potential. The experience at Satyam Day Care Center has provided valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of caring for children with Down syndrome.
