Intussusception among Children Admitted in a Department of Pediatric Surgery of a Tertiary Care Centre: A Descriptive Cross-Sectional Study.
Intussusception is the second most common cause of acute abdominal pain in infants and preschool children. The aetiology for intussusception is idiopathic at this age. Hydrostatic reduction and exploratory laparotomy with proceed are the options for the management of intussusception. The aim of this study was to find out the prevalence of intussusception among patients admitted to the Department of Pediatric Surgery of a tertiary care centre. ⋯ intussusception; laparotomy; paediatrics; prevalence; ultrasound.

Spondylolysis among Patients Without Low Back Pain in a Diagnostic Centre: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Spondylolysis can either be asymptomatic or can cause significant low back pain. It is sometimes associated with the translation of one vertebra over another and is termed spondylolisthesis. Contraception Use among Women Visiting Outpatient Department of Gynaecology in a Tertiary Care Centre: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Family planning services can bring a wide range of benefits to women, their families and society as a whole. Many women of reproductive age have little or incorrect information about family planning methods. Even when they know some methods of contraceptives, they don't know the availability or how to use them properly. Primary Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis among Patients with Glomerular Disease Undergoing Kidney Biopsy in a Tertiary Care Centre: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Primary focal segmental glomerulosclerosis is a form of glomerular disease that needs immunosuppressive therapy, which, if untreated, can lead to end-stage renal disease. Ultrastructural analysis by electron microscopy is essential to distinguish primary from other forms of focal segmental glomerulosclerosis. This study aimed to find out the prevalence of primary focal segmental glomerulosclerosis among patients with glomerular diseases undergoing kidney biopsy in a tertiary care centre. ⋯ biopsy; hematuria; kidney; proteinuria.

Knowledge of Internal Quality Control for Laboratory Tests among Laboratory Personnel Working in Department of Biochemistry in a Tertiary Care Center: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Clinical laboratory holds a central position in patient care, thus, ensuring accurate laboratory test results is a necessity. Internal quality control ensures day-to-day laboratory consistency. However, unless practised, laboratory quality systems cannot be achieved. This depends on the efforts and commitment of laboratory personnel for its implementation. Hence, the aim of this study was to find out the knowledge of internal quality control for laboratory tests among laboratory personnel working in the Department of Biochemistry in a tertiary care centre. ⋯ biochemistry; knowledge; laboratory personnel; quality control.
