A Retrospective Case-Matched Cost Comparison of Surgical Treatment of Melanoma and Nonmelanoma Skin Cancer in the Outpatient Versus Operating Room Setting.
To date, no study has used authentic billing data in a case-control matched fashion to examine the cost of treating skin cancer in different settings. ⋯ The outpatient setting remains a cost-effective location to treat skin cancer compared with the operating room.

Multiple exposures to general anesthesia may be neurotoxic to the developing brain. This relationship has not been evaluated in children undergoing laser surgery for vascular anomalies. ⋯ This is the first report on the prevalence of neurodevelopmental disorders in children undergoing multiple laser treatments under general anesthesia. Although the study sample is small, no increased risks when comparing with prevalence rates reported in the literature were noted.

VYC-15L (Juvéderm Volbella XC) is a nonanimal crosslinked hyaluronic acid (HA) gel with lidocaine. ⋯ VYC-15L was safe and effective for lip and perioral enhancement, with treatment effects lasting through 1 year.
