Maximizing Panfacial Aesthetic Outcomes: Findings and Recommendations From the HARMONY Study.
Aesthetic medicine has evolved from targeting individual treatment areas to a global approach of panfacial rejuvenation. HARMONY was the first clinical study to systematically demonstrate positive physical and psychosocial impacts of panfacial treatment. ⋯ Product usage trends common to the highest scoring sites (including injection volume, injection sites, and product selection) may provide guidance on best practices for a panfacial approach to aesthetic treatment to maximize patient satisfaction.

Soft-tissue filler administration is an increasingly popular minimally invasive cosmetic procedure. Simultaneously, there have been a greater number of adverse events reported, including the devastating complication of blindness. ⋯ Since 2015, there have been 60 newly reported cases of soft-tissue filler blindness. Most recent cases have occurred with HA, which is a shift from previous reports. In HA cases, hyaluronidase injection may be successful in restoring vision if administered promptly. It is imperative for providers to be familiar with strategies for managing soft-tissue filler blindness.

Incidence of Epinephrine Reactions With Local Anesthesia in Mohs Micrographic Surgery.
The incidence of reactions to epinephrine-containing local anesthetics in Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS) has not been established. ⋯ Systemic reactions to epinephrine from local anesthetics are an infrequent adverse event in MMS cases. The data suggest that the absolute dose of local anesthetic with epinephrine does not correlate with the risk of developing an epinephrine reaction. Older age seems to have a protective effect.

Retention Rates Among Patients Undergoing Multimodal Facial Rejuvenation Treatment Versus a Single Monotherapy in Cosmetic Dermatology Practices.
Facial aging is a multifactorial process. Accordingly, expert opinion has largely been unanimous in that multimodal treatment targeting various aspects of the aging face provides superior results. However, there is a lack of studies exploring patient response. ⋯ Based on retention rates, patients are more likely to return to the clinic when multiple treatment modalities are used during 1 encounter. These data further solidify the importance of multimodal therapy for both the provider and the patient.
