To determine the 5-year and temporal performance of TAVR versus SAVR. ⋯ TAVR was associated with a significantly higher all-cause mortality at 5 years compared with SAVR. Of note, all-cause mortality presented a characteristic temporal pattern showing increased risk between 2 and 5 years but not within 2 years. Longer-term follow-up data are warranted.

ALPPS Improves Survival Compared With TSH in Patients Affected of CRLM: Survival Analysis From the Randomized Controlled Trial LIGRO.
To evaluate the oncological outcome for patients with colorectal liver metastases (CRLM) randomized to associating liver partition and portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS) or 2-stage hepatectomy (TSH). ⋯ ALPPS seems to improve survival in patients with CRLM and sFLR <30% compared with TSH.
