To assess practice patterns and short-term outcome after thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR), based on an international vascular registry collaboration. ⋯ This registry collaboration provides a unique platform to evaluate cross-border patterns of use and outcomes of TEVAR. A common core dataset is proposed, to achieve harmonization of registry-based quality outcome measures for TEVAR.

The objective of this study was to assess the quality and accuracy of visual abstracts published in academic surgical journals. ⋯ Visual abstracts vary widely in quality. As visual abstracts become integrated with the traditional components of scientific publication, they must be held to similarly high standards. We propose a checklist to be used by authors and journals to standardize the quality of visual abstracts.

The aim of our study was to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis comparing the survival outcomes of IBD-associated and non-IBD-associated CRC. ⋯ IBD-CRC patients have a significant worse OS than patients with non-IBD CRC, which may be attributed to more aggressive histological characteristics and a lower rate of R0 resections at the primary tumor site. Optimized therapeutic standards and tailored follow-up strategies might improve the prognosis of IBD-CRC patients.

Management of Pathogenic CDH1 Variant Carriers within the FREGAT Network: A multicentric Retrospective Study.
To describe the management of pathogenic CDH1 variant carriers (pCDH1vc) within the FREGAT (FRench Eso-GAsTric tumor) network. Primary objective focused on clinical outcomes and pathological findings, Secondary objective was to identify risk factor predicting postoperative morbidity (POM). ⋯ Among pCDH1vc, index cases carry a dismal prognosis. The risk of cancer among patients undergoing PTG remained high and unpredictable and has to be balanced with the morbidity and functional consequence of PTG.
