To develop a cryptoglandular Anal Fistula Core Outcome Set: a minimum set of outcomes that should be measured in all studies of cryptoglandular anal fistula treatment. ⋯ The final COS represents an international, multidisciplinary, patient-centered attempt to establish consistency in fistula research, with a substantial focus on patient priorities for treatment.

Combined Drainage and Protocolized Necrosectomy Through a Co-axial Lumen-Apposing Metal Stent for Pancreatic Walled-off Necrosis: A Prospective Multicenter Trial.
We evaluated a protocolized endoscopic necrosectomy approach with a lumen-apposing metal stent (LAMS) in patients with large symptomatic walled-off pancreatic necrosis (WON) comprising significant necrotic content, with or without infection. ⋯ Endoscopic ultrasound-guided drainage with protocolized endoscopic necrosectomy to treat large symptomatic or infected walled-off necrotic pancreatic collections was highly effective and safe. Clinicaltrials.-gov no: NCT03525808.

Treatment and Outcomes of Congenital Ovarian Cysts: A Study by the Canadian Consortium for Research in Pediatric Surgery (CanCORPS).
We conducted a multicenter study to assess treatments and outcomes in a national cohort of infants with congenital ovarian cysts. ⋯ Most congenital ovarian cysts are asymptomatic and spontaneously resolve. Early surgical intervention does not increase ovarian preservation.

STOP signs: A Population-Based Interrupted Time Series Analysis of Antibiotic Duration for Complicated Intra-Abdominal Infection Before and After the Publication of a Landmark RCT.
To determine if the STOP-IT randomized controlled trial changed antibiotic prescribing in patients with Complicated Intraabdominal Infection (CIAI). ⋯ For appendiceal or biliary sources of CIAI, antibiotic duration was commensurate with the experimental arm of STOP-IT. For other sources, antibiotic duration was long and did not change in response to trial publication. Additional implementation science is needed to improve antibiotic stewardship.

To evaluate the safety and feasibility of implantation and retrieval of a novel implantable microdevice (IMD) in NSCLC patients undergoing operative resection. ⋯ A multi-drug IMD can be safely inserted and retrieved into lung tumors during a variety of surgical approaches. Future studies will encompass preoperative placement to better examine specific tumor responsiveness to therapeutic agents, allowing clinicians to tailor treatment regimens to the microenvironment of each patient.
