ReviewCost assessment of robotics in gynecologic surgery: a systematic review.
The application of robotics is an innovation in the field of gynecologic surgery. Our objective was to evaluate the currently available literature on the cost assessment of robotic surgery of various operations in the field of gynecologic surgery. ⋯ Robotic surgery has the potential to become cost-effective in centers with many patients while industry competition could reduce the cost of the robotic instrumentation, making robotic technology more affordable and cost-effective.

Comparative StudyCytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy for management of recurrent/relapsed ovarian granulosa cell tumor: a single-center experience.
The aim of this study was to retrospectively report our experience (efficacy/morbidity) with cytoreductive surgery+hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (CRS+HIPEC) for the management of recurrent/relapsed ovarian granulosa cell tumors (OGCT). ⋯ CRS+HIPEC appears to be an efficacious and morbidly well-tolerated therapeutic modality for recurrent/relapsed OGCT. Long-term follow-up data and further research are needed.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyRectally administrated misoprostol as an alternative to intravenous oxytocin infusion for preventing post-partum hemorrhage after cesarean delivery.
With the increasing rate of cesarean delivery (CD) worldwide, there is a need for a revision of practices to prevent post-partum hemorrhage (PPH) after CD. In search of a safe, cheap and effective alternative to oxytocin for prevention of PPH during the postoperative period of CD, the present study aimed to compare rectally administrated misoprostol with i.v. oxytocin infusion. ⋯ Rectally administrated 800-mg misoprostol may be an effective alternative to oxytocin infusion to prevent PPH after CD.

Multicenter StudyClinical characteristics of amniotic fluid embolism: an experience of 29 years.
The aim of this study was to elucidate the clinical characteristics and risk factors for amniotic fluid embolism (AFE). ⋯ AFE patients were classified into two types based on presenting signs and symptoms. Knowledge of the various initial symptoms of AFE enables a correct diagnosis.
