Tinea cruris and tinea corporis masquerading as tinea indecisiva: case report and review of the literature.
Tinea indecisiva is characterized by concentric scaly rings simulating tinea imbricata but caused by dermatophytes other than Trichophyton concentricum. ⋯ Tinea indecisiva should be considered in a patient with tinea imbricata-like lesions with local immunosuppression caused by a non-concentricum dermatophyte.

The presence of dermatology-related platforms in social media has been acknowledged; however, the level of engagement of the public with these platforms has not been evaluated. ⋯ Patient-centered groups engaged with their fans most effectively. Engagement is a key determinant of a fan's exposure to the contents of the page and hence a gauge of whether the fans who "liked" the page continue to remain engaged or not.

Review Case Reports
Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis induced by hydroxychloroquine: first case report in Canada and review of the literature.
Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP) is a rare drug eruption presenting with an acute, extensive formation of nonfollicular sterile pustules on an erythematous and edematous base. Typically, the rash is accompanied by fever and leukocytosis, with spontaneous resolution in < 15 days. The incidence of AGEP is estimated at one to five cases per million people per year. Only 18% of these are from nonantibiotics. Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) is an antimalarial agent that is also used to treat various dermatologic and rheumatologic conditions. ⋯ AGEP is a rare drug eruption, usually to antibiotics. We report the first case in Canada of AGEP as an adverse reaction to HCQ. Clinicians should keep in mind the possibility of this severe skin eruption.

Internal medicine trainees receive limited teaching and training in dermatology and may feel inadequately prepared to assess and manage patients with dermatologic complaints. No study to date has assessed the needs of internal medicine trainees in Canada with regard to dermatology teaching. ⋯ An effort should be made to increase the availability of relevant dermatology teaching and clinical exposures for internal medicine residents.
