Neurogenic Bladder Symptom Score: Polish Translation, Adaptation and Validation of Urinary Disorder-Specific Instrument for Patients with Neurogenic Lower Urinary Tract Dysfunction.
There is no comprehensive and specific questionnaire translated, adapted and validated in the Polish language for evaluating symptoms, quality of life and complications associated with the neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction (NLUTD). The aim of this study was to translate, culturally adapt and validate a Polish version of the Neurogenic Bladder Symptom Score (NBSS) for patients who experience NLUTD. ⋯ The Polish NBSS demonstrated good measurement properties for a large cohort of patients with NLUTD. It is a suitable tool to assess NLUTD symptoms, consequences and quality of life. The Polish NBSS will support routine clinical practice of all types of physicians in Poland who care for patients with NLUTD.

Fabry disease (FD) is the second most common lysosomal storage disorder, carrying a large morbidity and mortality. Our aim was to describe AAA cases occurring in the course of FD. ⋯ Fabry disease can be associated with AAA, suggesting that an inflammatory component could exist in this genetic disease.

Monovision is a method of correcting presbyopia where one eye is focused for far and the other for near vision. It is a simple, cost-effective approach to overcome the loss of accommodation with age and to become spectacles independent. ⋯ In view of the described local circumstances aiming for monovision after bilateral cataract surgery is a suitable approach to optimise cataract surgical outcomes with no extra costs for surgery but considerable improvement of patient's visual performance in daily life.
