The effect of subclinical hypothyroidism on body composition parameters in children.
It's known that overt hypothyroidism increases body fat content and weight. There's limited research about the effect of subclinical hypothyroidism (SH) on body composition in children and the effect of LT4 treatment. We aimed to evaluate body composition parameters in healthy subjects and in children with mild SH (MSH) and determine the effect of LT4 treatment. ⋯ The percentage of TMM in children with MSH was found lower than healthy control group. After LT4 treatment, the percentage of the FFM, TMM and TFFM were increased and the difference between percentage of TMM in children with MSH and healthy controls was insignificant. Our data indicated that MSH might be associated with early changes in body composition parameters.

Effect of an Educational Intervention on Public Knowledge, Attitudes, and Intended Practices toward Diabetes Mellitus: A quasi-experimental study.
To assess the impact of educational workshops on the knowledge, attitudes, and intended practices (KAP) of the general public towards diabetes in Jordan in terms of symptoms, risk factors, complications, and prevention. ⋯ Participants' knowledge, attitudes, and intended practices improved following a trained pharmacy led educational intervention. These encouraging results highlight the need for continuous national educational interventions about diabetes provided by trained health care professionals such as pharmacists. Future studies are needed to evaluate the impact of improved knowledge and perceptions on actual long-term practice.

Views and experiences of decision-makers on organizational safety culture and medication errors.
In 2017, the World Health Organization published "Medication Without Harm, WHO Global Patient Safety Challenge," to reduce patient harm caused by unsafe medication use practices. While the five objectives emphasise the need to create a framework for action, engaging key stakeholders and others, most published research has focused on the perspectives of health professionals. The aim was to explore the views and experiences of decision-makers in Qatar on organisational safety culture, medication errors and error reporting. ⋯ These positive and negative aspects of organisational culture can inform the development of theory-based interventions to promote patient safety. Central to these will be the further development and sustainment of a "fair" blame culture in Qatar and beyond.
