Application of Platelet-rich Fibrin Grafts Following Pterygium Excision.
To compare the efficacy, safety and recurrence rate of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) grafts and limbal conjunctival autografts (LCAs) following pterygium excision. ⋯ This study presented with a promising outcome of PRF graft applications in primary pterygium surgery. The use of PRF following pterygium excision is a simple, easily applicable, and comfortable method for both patients and surgeons, with less time consumption, recurrence rate and complications, which could be widely used in pterygium management.

Observational StudyApplication of CALL score for prediction of progression risk in patients with COVID-19 at university hospital in Turkey.
The CALL score was developed as a predictive model for progressive disease. We aimed to validate and/or improve the performance of CALL score in our hospital settings. ⋯ The performance of the CALL score in our patient population was low compared with the original study. We found an additional parameter for predicting progressive COVID-19 disease, D-dimer, which may guide future studies to develop new scoring systems for predicting progressive disease.

Temporal Trends in Prognosis of Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome Complicated by Ventricular Tachyarrhythmia.
To evaluate clinical characteristics and prognosis of patients presented with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) that developed ventricular tachyarrhythmia VTA and to analyse it according to the period of presentation. ⋯ Any VTA following ACS was associated with high short- and long-term mortality rate. However, over the late period, there has been a significant improvement in survival rates, especially in patients with late VTA. This may be attributed to early and invasive reperfusion therapy, implantable cardioverter-defibrillator implantation and better medical treatment.

Can prognostic nutritional index and systemic immune-inflammatory index predict disease severity in COVID-19?
Prognostic nutritional index (PNI) and systemic immune-inflammatory index (SII) are inflammation-based novel markers that predict the prognosis in various patient populations. We have investigated the relationship between the disease severity in COVID-19, and the PNI and SII scores in the present study. ⋯ The PNI and the SII scores are independent predictors of the prognosis and the disease severity in COVID-19 patients who require hospitalisation at the ICU.
