Anti-Ro52 antibodies in clinical practice: a single center experience.
To analyse the clinical significance of anti-Ro52 autoantibodies that target TRIM21 protein and occur in a variety of connective tissue diseases (CTD), 4782 cases with blood tested positive for anti-Ro52 antibodies between January 2016 and September 2017 in Drum Tower Hospital were enrolled. ⋯ Our study shows that anti-Ro52 could occur in various clinical conditions. These antibodies may appear in the early stage of CTD with the lung an important target organ, thus their presence warrants long-term follow-up.

Identifying the predictors of estimated glomerular filtration rate after partial nephrectomy with a nonlinear regression model.
To evaluate the effect of partial nephrectomy on renal function and to identify predictors of estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) at 6 months after partial nephrectomy. ⋯ Baseline eGFR values, tumour size, and presence of hypertension are significant predictors of eGFR values in the mid-term in patients undergoing partial nephrectomy.

Use of potentially inappropriate medications among older outpatients and inpatients in a tertiary care hospital in Malaysia.
Older individuals are seemingly having more medical conditions, which predispose them to a greater risk of polypharmacy. Potentially inappropriate medications (PIMs), including those having anticholinergic and sedative properties, are common in their prescriptions, often associated with functional decline and negative health outcomes. Thus, this study reports proportions of inappropriate drugs and drug burden exposures and its correlation with patient-reported outcomes (PROs) among cognitively intact older adults admitted to a ward or visiting the outpatient clinic at a tertiary care hospital in Malaysia. ⋯ Proportions of PIMs and DBI exposure were significantly higher in an inpatient setting. No significant correlations between exposures to inappropriate medications or drug burden and PROs were observed.

Physical Therapist Attitude and Opinion about cervical spine examination: A national Spanish Survey.
A correct examination is essential during a differential diagnosis of neck pain patients. Therefore, the objective of this study was to provide an update on the properties considered most important by physical therapists (PTs) when conducting accessory and physiological movement tests during the cervical spine physical examination. ⋯ Physical therapists face validity in relation to passive accessory intervertebral movement test for assessing spinal segmental motion aspects has been decreasing with more attention devoted to pain responses. The current scepticism regarding the motion properties assessed with these tests is associated with utility aspects such as validity, sensitivity, accuracy and specificity.

Adherence to methotrexate therapy in Polish patients with inflammatory joint diseases.
Methotrexate (MTX) is the first-line medicine used in most inflammatory joint diseases. It is highly effective but, it's burdened with common side effects and the result of treatment is not immediately visible. This fact significantly increases the risk of unsatisfying patients' compliance. It may lead to difficulties in achieving disease remission and unjustified escalation of treatment. ⋯ High adherence with prescribed MTX is associated with good treatment tolerance, while the occurrence of side effects significantly increases the risk of discontinuation, often without consulting the physician.
