The FDA-issued PLATO trial dataset revealed that some primary death causes (PDCs) were inaccurately reported favouring ticagrelor. However, the PLATO Investigators operated the shorter death list of uncertain quality. We compared if PDC match when trial fatalities were reported to the FDA and by the PLATO Investigators. ⋯ The PLATO trial PDCs were mismatched between FDA and investigators sets. We are kindly asking the ticagrelor sponsor or/and concerned PLATO Investigators to clarify the PDC dataset match.

Daily inpatient ertapenem therapy can be an alternative to hospitalization for the treatment of complicated urinary tract infections during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Physicians hospitalize the patients with complicated urinary tract infections (cUTIs) when they need intravenous antibiotics and outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT) is unavailable. Daily inpatient antimicrobial therapy is an alternative to hospitalization, which is similar to OPAT; patients go home after they are administered antibiotics in a separate room in the hospital setting. ⋯ In the COVID-19 pandemic period, this seems to be an effective, safe, and cost-effective way to decrease hospitalizations for cUTIs in settings where OPAT is unavailable.

The willingness to accept the COVID-19 vaccine and affecting factors among healthcare professionals: A cross-sectional study in Turkey.
While discussions on the effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines continue, healthcare professionals' attitudes and their growing fear and anxiety during the pandemic process are not yet fully known. In this study, we aimed to investigate the COVID-19 vaccine acceptance and affecting factors in healthcare professionals. ⋯ A high proportion of healthcare professionals declared their willingness to accept the COVID-19 vaccine, and hence, this will play a leading role in optimizing the vaccination rate of the entire population while combating the pandemic.

The role of hemogram parameters and CRP in predicting mortality in COVID-19 infection.
This study aimed to investigate hemogram parameters and C-reactive protein (CRP) that can be used in clinical practice to predict mortality in hospitalized patients with a diagnosis of COVID-19. ⋯ We concluded that inflammatory parameters, such as LRCP, SII and NLR, were associated with disease severity and could be used as potentially important risk factors for COVID-19 progression.

Correlation between Sleep Characteristics and Cognitive Decline in the Elderly: A Cross-Sectional Study in China.
In this study, we conducted a cross-sectional analysis of the sleep characteristics in the elderly Chinese people to comprehensively investigate the association between sleep and cognitive function in the elderly people. We aimed to evaluate the most important demographic factors, conventional physiological indices and living habits that may influence sleep. ⋯ In conclusion, sleep characteristics correlate with cognitive decline in the elderly people, and they can be influenced by multiple demographic factors and living habits. To improve sleep quality, it may be important to change sleep environment, to be relax, to increase physical exercise and recreational activities moderately.
