Increased Risk of Glaucoma Among New Onset Gout Patients Aged 20-39 Years: A Nationwide Population-Based Cohort Study in Taiwan.
To provide epidemiologic evidence of whether gout increases the risk of new-onset glaucoma. ⋯ This nationwide population-based cohort study revealed that gout patients in the age group 20-39 years had a higher risk of glaucoma than non-gout controls.

The Effect of Physical Activity and Depressive Mood on Menopausal Symptoms in Postmenopausal Women.
The symptoms of menopause in postmenopausal women adversely affect the quality of life. Menopausal symptoms are more severe with comorbid disorders such as depression; it may be lighter in physically active people. The present study aimed to evaluate the relationship between menopausal symptoms and physical activity and depressive mood. ⋯ Adoption of regular physical activity habits by postmenopausal women and providing treatment to those with depression will contribute to alleviating the severity of menopausal symptoms.

Pharmacists' Experience, Competence, and Perception of Telepharmacy Technology in Response to COVID-19.
In the telepharmacy model, the pharmacist can play a pivotal role in delivering pharmaceutical services for patients. However, evidence of pharmacists' impact on improving patient outcomes through disease outbreak through telepharmacy is sparse. ⋯ The need for implementing telepharmacy technology has been further boosted because of its noticeable benefits in promoting convenient healthcare services remotely in emergency situations.

Prognostic Significance of Malnutrition Scores in Elderly Patients for Prediction of Contrast Induced Acute Kidney Injury.
Malnutrition reflects the general condition of a patient including physical condition, protein turnover, and immune competence. Contrast-induced acute kidney injury (CI-AKI) is a disorder that adversely affects the prognosis of older adults. In our study, we aimed to show the relationship between CI-AKI and malnutrition status in elderly patients over 65 years of age with chronic coronary artery disease (CAD). ⋯ Malnutrition assessment of elderly patients before performing diagnostic or interventional coronary procedures could help clinicians to identify patients with elevated risk for CI-AKI.

Evaluation of the relationship between laboratory parameters and pulmonary function tests in COVID-19 patients.
The novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) rapidly escalated from its origin in an animal market in Wuhan, China in December 2019 to a global pandemic, and the lungs are the most frequently affected organ. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between pulmonary function test parameters and laboratory parameters in COVID-19. ⋯ Fibrinogen and CRP levels are easily accessible parameters that may help identify improvement or deterioration in pulmonary function in COVID-19 patients during follow-up and discharge while reducing the risk of transmission.
