Multicenter StudyThe Effect of Risk Factors on Surgical and Oncological Results in High - Risk Prostate Cancer: A Multicenter Study of the Urooncology Society, Turkey.
To evaluate the effect of risk factors and selected surgical methods on operative and oncological results of patients undergoing radical prostatectomy (RP) with high-risk prostate cancer (HRPC). ⋯ RP alone is an effective treatment in the majority of patients with HRPC and PLND did not affect the progression rates after RP. According to the number of pre-operative high-risk features, as the number of risk factors increases, there is a need for additional treatment.

Consensus-Based Recommendations for Titrating Cannabinoids and Tapering Opioids for Chronic Pain Control.
Opioid misuse and overuse have contributed to a widespread overdose crisis and many patients and physicians are considering medical cannabis to support opioid tapering and chronic pain control. Using a five-step modified Delphi process, we aimed to develop consensus-based recommendations on: 1) when and how to safely initiate and titrate cannabinoids in the presence of opioids, 2) when and how to safely taper opioids in the presence of cannabinoids and 3) how to monitor patients and evaluate outcomes when treating with opioids and cannabinoids. ⋯ This five-stage modified Delphi process led to the development of consensus-based recommendations surrounding the safe introduction and titration of cannabinoids in concert with tapering opioids.

Epidemiology, Treatment Patterns, and Survival of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia/Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma (CLL/SLL) in Taiwan, 2006-2015.
Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL) is one of the most frequent types of leukaemia/lymphoma in adults in Western countries. However, there are few studies regarding its epidemiology and treatment patterns in Asian countries. ⋯ This study is the first population-based study in Asia and provides comprehensive evidence of epidemiology, treatment patterns and survivals of CLL/SLL in an Asian population.

Stem Cell-Related Knowledge and Attitudes among Physicians in Jordan.
Rapid advancement of stem cell (SC) therapies provides both opportunities and risks for patients and physicians alike. Physicians have a role in counselling patients about unproven SC therapies, requiring a basic level of knowledge and access to information about SCs. ⋯ This study reveals Jordanian physicians' hesitancy to counsel patients about SC therapies, largely because of gaps in knowledge. However, overall attitudes toward SC research and therapies are positive. The results of this study demonstrate a need to cover SC-related information in medical curricula in Jordan, as well as to support initiatives to regulate SC tourism in Jordan.
