Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study Clinical Trial
[Abdominal and pelvic segmented T1-weighted echo-planar imaging and MRI. Comparison with T1-TSE and T2-UTSE sequences].
To assess, quantitatively and qualitatively, the diagnostic value of a segmented EPI T1W sequence compared to T1W and T2W TSE sequences. ⋯ The segmented EPI T1W sequence used had equivalent results compared to the TSE T1W sequence, it allows a 40% reduction in acquisition time and this without difference in the diagnostic performances of the reviewers.

Epidural injections of corticosteroids in the cervical spine can provide effective treatment of cervicobrachial neuralgia. This technique is mainly described by anesthesiologists who perform injections without imaging control. We demonstrate that this infiltration can be easily performed under CT-guidance by radiologists.

Bronchiolitis includes a broad range of conditions with variable clinical, functional and morphological expression. Bronchiolar disease may be a primary or a secondary condition. Non-specific inflammatory changes are observed at the histology examination, involving respiratory and membranous bronchioles with or without extension to the alveoli. ⋯ Cicatrization processes may lead to constrictive bronchiolitis, an irreversible condition characterized by circumferential submucosal or periadventitial fibrosis causing an obstruction of the bronchiolar lumen. CT findings include decreased lung attenuation and expiratory air trapping within the areas of bronchiolar obstruction. The contrast with normally ventilated and perfused areas creates a mosaic perfusion pattern.
