A case of a neonate with Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome is presented. Antenatal sonography detected a right adrenal cystic mass confirmed in post-natal which resolved spontaneously within 1 month. ⋯ The authors review the different adrenal lesions possibly associated with Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome and specially the pseudo-tumorous lesions. The value of abdominal sonography in the neonatal periods and in the surveillance of children with Beckwith-Wiedemann syndrome is emphasized.

We report one case of emergency related malposition central venous catheter in left superior intercostal vein. The CT examination corroborate the venous perforation, showing contrast media effusion in mediastinum, pericardium and pleural cavities.

On chest radiographs, the precise assessment of thoracic injuries consecutive to blunt trauma is often compromised by the nonspecific appearance of many lesions. Furthermore, significant injuries are frequently overlooked. However, the management of the patients with chest trauma is still often based primarily upon clinical and radiographic findings and Computed Tomography (CT) is often performed secondarily on the basis of unexplained clinical signs or suspected radiographic abnormality. ⋯ In order to estimate the role of early CT in the management of patient care, we report the therapeutic consequences of CT findings in forty patients who we report the therapeutic consequences of CT findings in forty patients who had a thoracic CT within few hours following a chest injury. We showed that early thoracic CT scan in patients with blunt trauma detected significantly more lesions than did chest X-Ray and appreciably modified the treatment modalities in 70% of our patients. We then recommend that all the patients admitted in ICU after chest trauma undergo a thoracic CT scan as soon as possible in order to optimize their treatment modalities.

Chronic rhinosinusitis endoscopic surgery needs an accurate evaluation of diseases and paranasal sinus anatomic variations. High resolution CT by thin section (2 mm) allow this pre-operative assessment. ⋯ They are nasal septal deviation, pneumatization and paradoxical curvature of the middle turbinate, pneumatization of unciform process, Haller's cells, prominent agger nasi cell and ethmoid bulla. The endoscopic endonasal surgery landmarks, the individual morphologic variations, the topographic relations to the orbit and to the brain are also well shown by CT.

Aneurysm of the ulnar artery is a distinct entity among the acrosyndromes of the forearm for at least four reasons. It can be considered as an occupational disease requiring legal declarations leading to indemnities and the cardiologist should be aware of the administrative procedures. ⋯ Actually, cases resulting from trauma provide a situation of experimental pathology; studying the haemodynamics involved has advanced our knowledge of Raynaud's disease. Traumatic aneurysms can be cured, not simply by occupational rehabilitation but also, in certain cases, by vascular repair surgery with removal of the aneurysm and recovery of arterial blood flow through a venous graft.
