Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) are a relatively newer class of drugs approved for the treatment of malignancies such as melanoma, renal, bladder and lung cancer. Immune-related adverse events (IrAEs) involving the endocrine system are a common side effect of these drugs. The spectrum of endocrine adverse events varies by the drug class. ⋯ Corticosteroids are helpful when the pituitary-adrenal axis is involved. In cases of severe endocrine toxicity (grade 3/4), ICIs should be temporarily discontinued and can be restarted after adequate hormonal therapy. Endocrinologists and general internists need to be vigilant and maintain a high degree of awareness for these adverse events.

Maternal morbidity is an indicator of the quality of a country's maternal health services. Maternal near miss (MNM) can provide valuable information in this context and hence these cases need to be reviewed which can indirectly play a major role in reducing maternal mortality ratio in India. The objectives of the present review were to find the prevalence/incidence, criteria used for identification, review the causes of MNM cases and identify the contributory factors responsible for the occurrence of these cases based on three-delay model. ⋯ Hypertensive disorders and anaemia were the leading direct and indirect causes of MNM, respectively. There was a lack of uniformity in using the criteria for MNM across studies conducted in India over the last decade. Future studies on MNM in India should follow the uniform criteria mentioned in the MNM-Review guidelines released by the Government of India in 2014 for obtaining systematic data and proper summary estimates.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Comparison of efficacy, safety & satisfaction of intermittent versus continuous phototherapy in hyperbilirubinaemic newborns ≥35 week gestation: A randomized controlled trial.
Phototherapy (PT) has become the standard of care for treating neonatal jaundice. This study was aimed to find out if intermittent PT (IPT) results in comparable rate of fall of bilirubin level to continuous PT (CPT) and results in lesser side effects and better acceptance. ⋯ IPT was non-inferior to CPT in reducing bilirubin levels in ≥35 wk neonates, irrespective of device used, and also mothers reported better satisfaction with IPT. Although IPT appears promising, CPT does not increase clinical and biochemical side effects compared to IPT.

Multicenter Study
Assessment of prevailing practices for identification of tuberculosis in children admitted in nutritional rehabilitation centres: A multicentre study.
To eliminate tuberculosis (TB), the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP) has given an algorithm for diagnosis and treatment of TB in children. This study was carried out to assess the prevailing practices to identify TB in severely malnourished children admitted to various nutrition rehabilitation centres (NRCs). ⋯ Although NTEP suggests universal screening of all malnourished children admitted in the NRCs, but the prevailing practices indicate that the NRCs are grossly under-utilizing molecular diagnostic tests for diagnosis of TB. There is a gap between prevailing practices and suggested guidelines for the identification of TB in children admitted in the NRCs.
