A multi-institutional analysis of sequential versus 'sandwich' adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy for stage IIIC endometrial carcinoma.
To analyze the outcomes of sequential or sandwich chemotherapy (ChT) and radiotherapy (RT) in patients with node-positive endometrial cancer (EC). ⋯ Postoperative adjuvant ChT and RT for stage IIIC EC patients, either given sequentially or sandwiched, offers excellent clinical efficacy and acceptably low toxicity. Our data support the superiority of the sandwich regimen compared to the sequential strategy in stage IIIC EC patients for OS.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic value of integrated ¹⁸F-fluoro-2-deoxyglucose-positron emission tomography/computed tomography (¹⁸F-FDG-PET/CT) for suspected recurrence of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) with non-disseminated lesions. ⋯ Compared with CECT, ¹⁸F-FDG-PET/CT shows higher sensitivity in lesion-based analysis and better accuracy of patient selection for secondary cytoreduction. However, there is still a need for integration of the results of ¹⁸F-FDG-PET/CT, CECT, and CA-125 levels to aid treatment planning.

Risk stratification models for para-aortic lymph node metastasis and recurrence in stage IB-IIB cervical cancer.
To examine the surgical-pathological predictors of para-aortic lymph node (PAN) metastasis at radical hysterectomy, and for PAN recurrence among women who did not undergo PAN dissection at radical hysterectomy. ⋯ Surgical-pathological risk factors proposed in this study will be useful to identify women with increased risk of PAN metastasis/recurrence.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the prognostic value of lymph node ratio (LNR) in patients with stage III ovarian high-grade serous carcinoma (HGSC). ⋯ LNR seems to be an independent prognostic factor for decreased OS in stage III ovarian HGSC patients.
