[Early results of nerve surgery in obstetrical brachial plexus palsy].
To present surgical techniques and early postoperative results of patients who underwent nerve surgery for obstetrical brachial plexus palsy. ⋯ Early diagnosis and nerve surgery in patients having insufficient muscle activity and requiring surgical intervention may prevent atrophy of the muscles and provide a more functional upper extremity.

Case Reports[Subcutaneous injection of insecticide for attempted suicide: a report of two cases].
We present two patients (30-year-old female, and 20-year-old male) who attempted suicide by injecting commercially available insecticides into the forearm. No systemic signs of intoxication were observed during the acute and subacute periods. ⋯ At surgery, extensive subcutaneous necrosis was observed. During long-term follow-ups, no motor and sensory deficits or contractures were seen.

Comparative Study[A comparison between single- and two-staged bilateral total knee arthroplasty operations in terms of the amount of blood loss and transfusion, perioperative complications, hospital stay, and cost-effectiveness].
We compared bilateral total knee arthroplasty (TKA) operations performed at a single session or at two separate sessions with respect to perioperative complications, the amount of blood loss and transfusion, the length of hospital stay, and the overall cost. ⋯ In view of its advantages, single-staged bilateral TKA seems to be an appropriate alternative in selected patients.

[Treatment results of pseudarthrosis of the humeral shaft by open reduction and internal fixation with dynamic compression plating].
We evaluated the results of open reduction and internal fixation with the use of dynamic compression plating in patients with pseudarthrosis of the humeral shaft. ⋯ In selected patients with pseudarthrosis of the humeral shaft, the results of open reduction and internal fixation with the use of dynamic compression plating are excellent, provided that an appropriate surgical technique is employed.

Comparative Study[The reasons for postponement of scheduled orthopedic surgical operations and its effect on the patients' anxiety and pain levels].
This comparative-descriptive study was planned to evaluate the reasons for postponement of scheduled orthopedic surgical operations and its effect on anxiety and pain levels of patients. ⋯ Postponed surgical operations result in an increased degree of emotional trauma and pain in patients assigned to have orthopedic surgical interventions.
