Case ReportsTreatment of reverse Hill-Sachs lesion by autograft reconstruction.
Reverse Hill-Sachs lesion is a defect caused by the anterior compression fracture of the humeral head in posterior shoulder dislocation. We present a 34-year-old male patient with pain and limited joint mobility in the right shoulder due to a fall following electric shock 2 days prior to admission. ⋯ The patient underwent open reduction of the humeral head, elevation of the depressed osteochondral surface, reconstruction using autograft, and repair of the posterior surface of the glenohumeral joint capsule 5 days following trauma. At the 5th year follow-up, the patient had a perfect outcome when evaluated using the Constant score.

Comparative StudyEffect of platelet-rich plasma on tendon-to-bone healing after rotator cuff repair in rats: an in vivo experimental study.
The purpose of this experimental study was to analyze the effects of local autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injection on tendon-to-bone healing in a rotator cuff repair model in rats. ⋯ Local autologous PRP injection may have beneficial effects on initial rotator cuff tendon-to-bone healing and enhance initial tendon-to-bone healing remodeling. This may represent a clinically important improvement in rotator cuff repair.

Chair method: a simple and effective method for reduction of anterior shoulder dislocation.
The ideal reduction method for anterior shoulder dislocation is defined as a practical technique applied without any assistance and minimizing patient interference. The aim of this study was to evaluate the outcomes of patients with shoulder dislocations reduced using the chair method in the emergency department and show that the chair method is one of the ideal methods. ⋯ The chair method is an effective and successful reduction method for shoulder dislocation. We believe that orthopedists and emergency department physicians should be familiar with this simple technique which does not have to be performed under general anesthesia.
