Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyIntra-articular levobupivacaine, lornoxicam and morphine analgesia after knee arthroscopy: a randomized, controlled trial.
The aim of this study was to compare the analgesic effects of intra-articular levobupivacaine alone, intra-articular levobupivacaine in combination with lornoxicam, and intra-articular levobupivacaine in combination with lornoxicam and morphine on patients following arthroscopic surgery. ⋯ The combination of levobupivacaine and lornoxicam is superior to levobupivacaine alone and the addition of morphine does not improve VAS scores. It appears that the addition of additional drugs for more effective analgesia has its limits.

Comparative StudyResults of volar locking plating for unstable distal radius fractures.
The aim of this study was to analyze the complications and functional and radiographic results of volar locking plating in the treatment of unstable distal radius fractures. ⋯ Fixation of unstable distal radius fractures with volar locking plates provides sufficient stability, and satisfactory clinical outcomes. However, these systems have complication potential that may limit better outcomes.

Efficacy of sonographically guided intra-flexoral sheath corticosteroid injection in the treatment of trigger thumb.
The aim of this study was to determine the efficacy of sonographically guided intra-flexoral sheath corticosteroid injection in the treatment of trigger thumb. ⋯ Sonographically guided intra-flexoral sheath corticosteroid injection is an effective method in the treatment of trigger thumb and reduces the need for surgery.

Comparative StudyLocked anatomic plate fixation in displaced clavicular fractures.
We aimed to evaluate the results and complications of open reduction and internal fixation by locked anatomic plates in adult midshaft clavicular fractures. ⋯ Fixation with locked anatomic plates in displaced midshaft clavicular fractures has lower complication rates. Possible postoperative complications are generally associated with implant irritation and failure. These problems can be avoided with the development in implant technology and new implant designs.

Comparative StudyThe effect of morphometric relationship between the glenoid fossa and the humeral head on rotator cuff pathology.
The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of the morphometric association between the glenoid fossa and the humeral head on rotator cuff pathology. ⋯ There is no association between the humeral head and the glenoid articular surface which can result in rotator cuff pathology. The glenohumeral joint was determined as a compatible joint morphometrically. Therefore, if they cannot be explained by an extrinsic cause, pathologies related to the rotator cuff itself should be investigated in subjects with rotator cuff pathology.
