Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber syndrome (KTWS) is a rare syndrome characterized by the triad of cutaneous hemangiomas, venous varicosities, and osseous-soft tissue hypertrophy of the affected limb. Clinical manifestations, genetic testing, and radiologic imaging are the key steps in diagnosing this syndrome. ⋯ KTWS is a rare disease with a wide range of manifestations. Multisystemic evaluation of this group of patients should be performed to identify cavernous hemangiomas at the early stage of life and adequately treat them in the future. Treatment of KTWS patients with cavernous hemangiomas should not be different from the treatment of patients with any other hemangiomas, and surgical intervention should be considered on a case-to-case bases.

Delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI) is significantly related to death and unfavorable functional outcome in patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). The association between alpha-delta ratio (ADR) on quantitative electroencephalography (EEG) and DCI has been reported in several previous studies, but their results are conflicting. This meta-analysis was conducted to assess the accuracy of ADR for DCI prediction in patients with aneurysmal SAH. ⋯ Worsening ADR on quantitative EEG is a reliable predictor of DCI in patients with aneurysmal SAH. Further studies are still needed to confirm the role of quantitative EEG in DCI prediction.

White matter injury (WMI) has been observed after experimental intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). The supporting clinical data have been sparse. We assessed the presence, extent, and progression of WMI in patients with ICH. ⋯ WMI will progress over time in patients with ICH, and WMIP has been associated with worse outcomes. This novel finding could represent a potential therapeutic target. Future prospective larger studies are needed to confirm our findings.

Intraneural ganglion cysts of the obturator nerve are rare. Our aim is to review cases of obturator intraneural ganglion cysts at our institution and those reported in the literature. ⋯ We believe that obturator intraneural ganglion cysts adhere to the principles of the unifying articular theory. They arise from the anteromedial hip joint and extend into an articular branch and can reach the parent obturator nerve. Surgery should address the hip disease and/or the articular branch connection. Not appreciating the pathoanatomy of these cysts can lead to persistent or recurrent cysts.

Enhanced hematoma membrane on DynaCT images during middle meningeal artery embolization for persistently recurrent chronic subdural hematoma.
Chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) is generally treated by burr-hole irrigation, but it can recur despite repeating these procedures. Embolization of the middle meningeal artery (MMA) has recently been proposed as a curative treatment for CSDH, but evidence for the indication and timing of MMA embolization is not definitive. The present study retrospectively analyzed the effects and safety of MMA embolization among patients with persistent CSDH recurrence. ⋯ Repeatedly recurrent CSDH can be safely treated and cured by MMA embolization. Hematoma membrane enhancement pattern using DynaCT images can predict repeated recurrences CSDH.
