A 75-year-old female patient was admitted following head trauma responsible for an acute-onset neurological worsening with a Glasgow Coma Scalescore of 6. Computed tomography scan revealed a large bifrontal meningioma with extralesional bleeding causing cranio-caudal transtentorial brain herniation. ⋯ One month later, the patient was withdrawn from life support. To our knowledge, tumor-induced Duret brainstem hemorrhage has never been reported.

The retroauricular (RA) incision has several theoretical benefits compared with the reverse question mark (RQM) incision for decompressive hemicraniectomy (DHC), but limited data comparing the 2 exist. ⋯ Wound complications are comparable between the RQM and RA incisions. The RA incision does not compromise craniectomy size or temporal bone removal.

Spinal cord arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare and usually present in younger patients. We present the case of a 76-year-old woman with a 2-year history of unsteady gait. She presented to us with sudden-onset thoracic pain, numbness, and weakness in both legs. ⋯ Postoperatively, the patient recovered her bladder control and motor function. She is now able to walk with a walker due to impaired proprioception. Videos 1-4 detail the key steps and techniques for safe clipping and resection.

This study aimed to compare radiographic and clinical outcomes of scoliosis and thoracic hyperkyphosis before and after stretching-based exercises. ⋯ Partial correction can be achieved using stretching-based exercises. Moreover, stretching-based exercises can reduce pain in patients and improve their quality of life. However, the optimal duration required further elucidation.

We report a unique case of a suspected recurrent intracranial epidermoid cyst (EDC) that was found on pathology to have undergone malignant transformation to squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) approximately 25 years after initial resection. Additionally, we performed a systematic review including 94 studies reporting intracranial EDC to SCC transformation. ⋯ We report a rare case of delayed malignant transformation of an intracranial EDC to SCC, occurring nearly 25 years after initial resection. Transformation time in the no-surgery group was statistically significantly shorter as compared to the surgery only and surgery + adjuvant therapy groups. Overall survival was statistically significantly higher in the surgery + adjuvant therapy group as compared to the surgery only and no surgery groups.
