Intramyometrial abscess in pregnancy is a rare event. Little information is available on the presentations and potential complications. ⋯ Intramyometrial abscess complicating pregnancy can be asymptomatic. Obstructed labor can be a potential complication when the abscesses are located in the lower uterine segment. Antibiotics, together with incision and drainage or removal of the abscess, is the first choice for treatment.

Diaper dermatitis in an adult. A case of erythema papuloerosive of Sevestre and Jacquet.
Irritants, friction and occlusion favor dermatitis or inflammatory reactions in the diaper area. Diaper dermatitis is not found exclusively in children but also in adults wearing a diaper for urinary incontinence. ⋯ Erythema papuloerosive of Sevestre and Jacquet is an unusual dermatitis due to irritant agents in the diaper area that may also affect adults. As this dermatitis may resemble neoplasia and venereal disease, it can be easily misdiagnosed, especially in adults.

The diagnosis of adnexal torsion is difficult to make on the basis of symptoms, physical findings or radiologic techniques. Unfortunately, delayed intervention can lead to irreversible damage and loss of the adnexa. This report describes a finding seen on computed tomography (CT) that may increase suspicion of the diagnosis of ovarian torsion. ⋯ The observation of a round, hypodense central lesion (dermoid cyst) surrounded by thickened, edematous ovarian cortex on CT is a finding that may aid in the diagnosis of adnexal torsion. The finding is a thickened shell of ovarian cortex surrounding a central mass that has caused the torsion; in this case it was a dermoid cyst.

While torsion of the adnexa is relatively common, isolated torsion of the fallopian tube alone remains a rare occurrence. Diagnosis and surgical intervention are often delayed. ⋯ In the differential diagnosis of acute lower abdominal pain, isolated torsion of the fallopian tube should be considered. A timely diagnosis and surgical intervention may allow preservation of the tube. Even when irreversible damage has occurred, laparoscopic management is recommended.

Eclampsia complicating hydatidiform molar pregnancy with a coexisting, viable fetus. A case report.
Eclampsia is a rare and serious complication of pregnancy. The occurrence of preeclampsia prior to the 20th week of gestation has been associated with concurrent hydatidiform molar pregnancy. We present a case of eclampsia complicating a partial molar pregnancy associated with a viable fetus. ⋯ Development of preeclampsia/eclampsia prior to 20 weeks of gestation should prompt a clinical evaluation to exclude the possibility of an underlying hydatidiform molar pregnancy.
