The Urgeiriça mines were once the main uranium producer in Portugal. This was, to the best of our knowledge, the first study performed in Portugal and can act as a bridge towards a wider implementation in the country.

This study provides important data for the future planning of interventions targeting the improvement of psoriasis care in Portugal.
