Receptors are proteins coded by DNA, some of which have already been crystalized, thus allowing the details of their structure at the atomic level and some aspects of their function to be known. This review focuses on the most diverse and abundant family of receptors, G protein-coupled receptors. ⋯ Molecular modeling or "docking" is also a computational bioinformatics tool that supports research on receptor-ligand binding, which allows the design and development of increasingly specific drugs. These developments have brought along significant changes in fundamental pharmacodynamic concepts.

Falls are considered a public health problem in older adults, and their approach should be multidimensional. Dance emerges as an intervention option that allows different schemes to be integrated in movement enhancement. ⋯ The results of this work support that dance can be used as an interventional option in older adults at risk of falling.

Joint ultrasound examination using the HEAD-US method in the detection of early arthropathy is poorly studied in our country. ⋯ Weight above the 50th percentile is an independent risk factor for joint bleeding complications, while age and type of haemophilia do not appear to be related. The HEAD-US method is a useful and accessible tool for early detection of arthropathy and hemarthrosis.

In current European guidelines for the management of myocardial infarction after coronary stent placement, there is no consensus on dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) ideal duration to prevent stent thrombosis-restenosis without significantly increasing the bleeding risk. ⋯ Prolonged use of DAPT would be justified by the high incidence of thrombosis-restenosis, without a significant increase in bleeding risk, as well as a decrease in major cardiovascular events.

The arrival of the pandemic caused by coronavirus disease (COVID-19) exponentially increased scientific production. ⋯ The volume of information published on COVID-19 and the citations received influenced the impact increase in 2021 JCR.
