To evaluate the effectiveness of adding carbetocin to regular uterotonic agents for prevention of postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) after cesarean section for twin pregnancies. ⋯ The use of carbetocin in addition to regular uterotonic agents decreased total blood loss and undiagnosed PPH. Also, systolic blood pressure 4 h after childbirth is higher in the carbetocin group. There was no significant difference in hemoglobin change and risk of PPH.

Observational Study
Changes in pediatric seizure-related emergency department attendances during COVID-19 - A territory-wide observational study.
A territory-wide retrospective observational study was conducted in Hong Kong between January 23 to April 22, 2020 to demonstrate changes in pediatric seizure-related accident and emergency department (A&E) visits during the COVID-19 pandemic. Parallel periods from 2015 to 2019 were used as control. All-cause A&E attendances in all paediatric age groups decreased significantly during the study period. ⋯ Decrease in RTI-related A&E attendances was also more drastic in the 0-6 age group. The two time trends are congruent in the 0-6 years but not the 7-18 years age group. Such a trend is suggestive of the usefulness of infection control measures in seizure prevention, especially amongst young children.

Several growth factors were proven to be effective in the treatment of bone defects and fractures and thus have great potential for bone regeneration applications. However, it needs low-temperature storage and transportation. This study aimed to investigate the herbal extract quercetin, a candidate for natural flavonoid compounds that have been reported to be involved in regulating inflammation and improving immunity and health. ⋯ Our initial results indicate that this natural herbal extract can be a good bone-based gene substitution for bone regeneration.

Case Reports
Unusual presentation of linear wrist blisters associated with hereditary angioedema: The first case report in Taiwan.
Hereditary angioedema (HAE) is an autosomal dominant disease characterized clinically by recurrent episodes of swelling in the tissues of the extremities, face, abdomen, and respiratory tract. It is most often caused by C1 esterase inhibitor (C1 INH) gene mutation. This swelling may lead to bradykinin release, resulting in recurrent, paroxysmal, painful angioedema. ⋯ She was treated with attenuated androgens (Danazol) for two weeks at our clinic, after which the blisters showed dramatic improvement. To date, only a few HAE cases have been reported across the world. Therefore, it is important to focus on and recognize the development of edema blisters as a flare of HAE, which could consequently avoid unnecessary dermatological diagnostic workup and treatment.
