Mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists are the first-line treatment for bilateral adrenal hyperplasia (BAH) with primary aldosteronism (PA), while unilateral adrenalectomy is the standard treatment for aldosterone-producing adenoma (APA). In this study, we investigated the outcomes of patients with BAH after unilateral adrenalectomy and compared them with those of patients with APA. ⋯ Patients with BAH had a higher failure rate in clinical outcomes, and APA was associated with biochemical success after unilateral adrenalectomy. However, significant improvements in ARR, hypokalemia, and a decreased use of antihypertensive drugs were noted in patients with BAH after surgery. Unilateral adrenalectomy is feasible and beneficial in selected patients, and could potentially serve as a treatment option.

Contrast pooling (CP) reconstruction is widely used in computed tomography (CT) studies of congenital heart diseases. However, endovascular devices are usually obscured in CP. To improve visualization of the vascular lumen, we developed jellyfish angiography (JFA), a semitransparent blood pool inversion technique. ⋯ For radiology residents, JFA was superior to CP in postintervention PDA diagnosis, device evaluation, and overall satisfaction. For pediatric cardiologists, JFA outperformed CP in both PDA and CoA postintervention cases. Our findings show that JFA overcomes the disadvantages of CP and can improve the visualization of intraluminal devices which is essential for endovascular treatment evaluation.

This study is aimed toward investigating the evolution of each Correa's step after Helicobacter pylori eradication in a long-term follow-up and exploring the factors correlated with a high-risk of gastric cancer. ⋯ The patients in Correa's steps III-V, but not I-II, were at risk of gastric cancer after H. pylori eradication. Age, OLGA stages ≥ I, and OLGIM stages ≥ I were independent factors correlated to a persistent high-risk of gastric cancer. The data may be useful when scheduling surveillance endoscopy for subjects in each Correa's step (NCT04527055).
