Multicenter Study Observational Study
Validation of Chinese version of a global anesthetic recovery questionnaire: A multicenter observational trial on ObsQoR-11.
The obstetric quality of recovery (ObsQoR-11) is considered one of the best patient-reported outcome measures of post-cesarean recovery. However, it has been neither validated in Chinese nor evaluated at >24 h after delivery. ⋯ The Chinese ObsQoR-11may be used for assessing recovery at 24 h and 96 h after cesarean delivery. However, its' cutoff value for good recovery may be lower than that of other versions.

Psoriatic disease is a chronic inflammatory disorder with skin and joint manifestations. Due to the persistent inflammatory state exhibited by patients with psoriasis, multiple systemic comorbidities occur more frequently in patients with psoriasis than in the general population, and the risk of cardiovascular (CV) diseases is significantly increased. ⋯ Furthermore, as the use of effective biologic therapy and more aggressive oral systemic treatment for psoriatic disease is increasing, consideration of the potential positive and negative effects of oral and biologic treatment on CV disease is warranted. To improve outcomes and quality of care for patients with psoriasis, the Taiwanese Dermatological Association, the Taiwanese Association for Psoriasis and Skin Immunology, and the Taiwan Society of Cardiology established a Task Force of 20 clinicians from the fields of dermatology, cardiology, and rheumatology to jointly develop consensus expert recommendations for the management of patients with psoriatic disease with attention to CV comorbidities.

Observational Study
Objective multidisciplinary measurements of sleep disturbance and autonomic dysfunction as risk factors for chronic subjective tinnitus.
This observational study assessed sleep disturbance and autonomic dysfunction as risk factors for chronic subjective tinnitus through polysomnography (PSG) and autonomic function tests. ⋯ This is the first study to administer PSG and autonomic function tests to patients with chronic subjective tinnitus. Poor sleep quality and autonomic dysfunction were implicated as risk factors for tinnitus. PSG and the autonomic function tests helped identify tinnitus-related comorbidities and inform tinnitus treatment. Sleep disturbance and autonomic dysfunction did not exert an interaction effect on tinnitus. Further studies with a larger sample size and the inclusion of patients with more severe tinnitus are warranted.

Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is a minimally invasive endoscopic procedure to deal with local early esophageal neoplasm, although post-ESD esophageal stricture is a major delayed complication of esophageal ESD greatly influencing the patient's quality of life. This retrospective study was conducted to analyze the esophageal stricture after esophageal ESD while determining further treatment and outcome of stricture management. ⋯ Esophageal stricture is frequently encountered in esophageal ESD. Aggressive preventative strategy is warranted for the high-risk group. Endoscopy/luminal management has high efficacy for post-ESD esophageal stricture.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is the most common acute leukemia in adults, with high mortality. To date, there is no comprehensive population-based analysis of patients with AML in Asia, including Taiwan. ⋯ Our study results could enable clinicians to obtain a comprehensive picture of the epidemiology, survival outcomes and unmet medical needs of AML patients in Taiwan.
