Efficacy of polyacrylate silver salt/polyvinylpyrrolidone-based liquid oral gel in management of concurrence chemoradiotherapy-induced oral mucositis.
Acute oral mucositis (OM) is a painful complication of concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT). This severe adverse symptom may impact on patient's quality of life, lead to malnutrition. Thus, finding more effective methods in OM management is very important. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of polyacrylate silver salt/Polyvinylpyrrolidone-based liquid oral gel (named as polyacrylate silver salt oral gel) in improving the symptomatic relief of CCRT-induced oral mucositis and oral dysfunction in neck and head cancer patients. ⋯ Our clinical studies demonstrated that polyacrylate silver salt oral gel is an effective interventional option in terms of rapid mucositis healing.

The purpose of this study was to clarify the effect of ZC3H13 on the growth of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). ⋯ ZC3H13 mediates IQGAP1 mRNA degradation by promoting m6A modification of IQGAP1 mRNA, this provides a prospective therapeutic target for PTC.

/Purpose: This study aimed to explore the association of subclinical depressive symptoms and sleep with cognition in community-dwelling Taiwanese older adults. ⋯ Subclinical depressive symptoms, worse sleep quality, and excessive daytime sleepiness were differentially associated with impairment of cognitive domains (mainly memory and executive function).

COVID-19 rebound is usually reported among patients experiencing concurrent symptomatic and viral rebound. But longitudinal viral RT-PCR results from early stage to rebound of COVID-19 was less characterized. Further, identifying the factors associated with viral rebound after nirmatrelvir-ritonavir (NMV/r) and molnupiravir may expand understanding of COVID-19 rebound. ⋯ Our data suggest viral rebound after oral antivirals may be more commonly observed among lymphopenic individuals in the context of SARS-CoV-2 Omicron BA.2 variant.
