The current study aims to assess cardiovascular risk factors (CVRFs) among diabetic versus nondiabetic nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) patients. NAFLD is the most common hepatic disorder worldwide which is directly associated with diverse CVRFs such as type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and metabolic syndrome (MS). ⋯ CVRFs were higher in NAFLD patients with T2DM than NAFLD patients with NBG.

The aim of this study was to determine whether mammographic and sonographic features of malignant breast lesions are correlated with tumor histologic grade, hormonal receptor, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2), and Ki-67 status. ⋯ Mammography and sonography features may reflect the biological behavior of various subtypes of breast cancer and can detect more aggressive breast cancers that can mimic benign or less malignant appearing lesions. These findings may be an excellent predictor for some subtypes like triple-negative breast cancer. Studying the range of these imaging characteristics may help in better understanding the prognosis, choosing a treatment strategy, and predicting response to treatment.

Fragmented QRS (fQRS) might be associated with certain characteristics in ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients and inhospital adverse events. ⋯ FQRS (+) and fQRS (-) patients markedly differ from each other in terms of certain demographic and clinical features and TIMI and GRACE scores have a significant predictive value for MACE in all STEMI patients' group.

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) commonly coexists with lung disease. However, the association between OSA components and lung function remains unclear. This study estimated STOP-BANG scores according to lung function using nationwide Korean data. ⋯ Our results suggest that screening and management of OSA components are warranted to prevent impaired lung function.

Zinc is vital for cellular functions, but kidney failure increases zinc deficiency risk. We compared zinc levels in hemodialysis (HD) and peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients in Isfahan, Iran. ⋯ Zinc levels in PD and HD patients are lower than in the general population, with HD patients having lower levels than PD patients.
