Review Case Reports
A sewing needle as a urethral foreign body: A case report and literature review.
Foreign bodies in the urethra can occur by self-insertion, and patients often hide the symptoms due to embarrassment. Foreign bodies act as a focus for infection and abscess formation and result in perforation or fistula when not detected on time. Foreign bodies can display symptoms such as frequent urination, dysuria, hematuria, urethrorrhagia, and obstruction. This case discusses a self-inserted urethral sewing needle that was removed cystoscopically from an adolescent.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Short-term outcomes of double omentopexy in one anastomosis gastric bypass surgery: A controlled clinical trial.
This study aims to assess the efficacy of implementing a novel technique of reinforcement of gastric pouch and remnant stomach staple line with Double Omentopexy (DO) in patients undergoing One-Anastomosis Gastric Bypass (OAGB) surgery and evaluate its impact in reducing the early postoperative complications. ⋯ Applying the DO technique may be a good measure to be added during OAGB to decrease the incidence of potential postoperative complications, especially the rate and severity of bleeding.

The success of the treatment depends on the well-being of the parents in pediatric cancer patients. In addition, migrants need to deal with the consequences of war. ⋯ Migration is a complex issue. Turkish parents were better in physical functioning, emotional well-being, physical pain, general health, and physical health composite score. Screening for parental burden, assisting them to find appropriate support services is essential in improving the health and QoL of both our patients and their parents.

Review Meta Analysis
Cardiovascular risk factors and venous thromboembolism in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: A meta-analysis and systemic review.
Over the years, the literature dealt with venous thromboembolism (VTE) and atherosclerosis as two distinct pathologic processes but recently this theory has been challenged. This research aims to determine the relationship between cardiovascular risk factors and VTE. This meta-analysis and systemic review included case-control and non-case-control studies. ⋯ Few studies reported dyslipidemia and smoking. In conclusion, old Old age, female gender, diabetes, obesity, and smoking are associated with increased risk of VTE with the highest risks seen with obesity and smoking. Additionally, female gender was the most prevalent risk factor among VTE patients.

Convalescent plasma (CP) therapy can be defined as a passive immunity transfer approach involving the administration of plasma for therapeutic purposes to inpatients hospitalized due to an active virus infection. Passive immunity antibodies can reduce target organ damage and directly neutralize the responsible pathogens. A limited number of studies on the use of CP have reported that critically ill patients can benefit from CP therapy. ⋯ Convalescent plasma therapy seems not useful in critically ill COVID-19 patients.
