To analyze the Caesarean Section (CS) rate among different groups of consultants dealing with Nulliparous Term Singleton pregnancy with Vertex (NTSV) presentation delivering at a tertiary care hospital of Karachi over four months. ⋯ The results did not show statistically significant difference in CS rate among different groups of Obstetricians. This might indicate that managing labour according to standard guidelines can eliminate physicians' bias. This can be further evaluated with larger multicenter prospective studies.

To compare the therapeutic effects of visual standard channel combined with visual superfine precision puncture channel or super-mini percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) on multiple renal calculi. ⋯ Both surgical approaches had high clearance rates of multiple renal calculi, safety, reliability and few complications. However, compared with the conventional puncture channel, the visual one was easy to operate and dramatically shortened the time of establishment, thus being safer and more accurate.

This study was conducted to assess outcomes in patients with hydrocephalus who underwent ventriculoperitoneal shunting at Keen's point. ⋯ Our experience with VP shunting at Keen's point resulted in excellent outcomes. It can be used for the management of hydrocephalus both in pediatric as well as adult population.

In diabetics, cardiac microvascular circulation disorder increases the risk of arrhythmia and sudden cardiac death. Tpeak-Tend (Tp-e) interval, Tp-e dispersion, and Tp-e/QT and Tp-e/QTc ratios measured by surface electrocardiogram (ECG) are new parameters used to evaluate ventricular arrhythmogenity. We aimed to compare QT dispersion (QTd), corrected QT dispersion (QTcd), P dispersion (Pd), Tp-e interval, Tp-e dispersion, and Tp-e/QT and Tp-e/QTc ratios in patients with type- 2 diabetes (T2D) with healthy population. ⋯ The risk of arrhythmia can be predicted by evaluating Tp-e interval, Tp-e dispersion, Tp-e/QT, and Tp-e/QTc ratio, suggesting heterogeneity of ventricular repolarization and P wave and Pd showing heterogeneity of atrial repolarization in diabetic patients.

Ileosigmoid knotting (ISK) is the wrapping of the ileum or sigmoid colon around the base of the other structure, causing a double-loop intestinal obstruction. The disease generally presents as an intestinal obstruction with volvulus triad, including abdominal pain/tenderness, distention, and obstipation. ⋯ Based on the viability of the ileum and sigmoid colon, different resectional or non-resectional surgical techniques may be used. In this report, one of the largest single-center ISK series in the world, an eighty-case series, is concisely presented.
