To evaluate the efficacy of core stability exercise versus conventional exercise in the treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis. ⋯ Core stability exercise presents with better efficacy than conventional exercise in the treatment of lumbar spinal stenosis.

The present study evaluates the preventable risk factors in symptomatic women with previous surgery for pelvic organ prolapse (POP) and/or stress urinary incontinence (SUI). ⋯ Grand_multiparity increased the risk of POP/SUI surgery and POP surgery while vaginal birth increased the risk of POP/SUI surgery. Among them, particularly, grand_multiparity seem to be the only preventable risk factors.

To determine serum biomarkers in detection of preeclampsia severity among pregnant women. ⋯ Biomarkers such as ALT, uric acid, and LDH were shown to be prognostic in detection of theseverity of preeclampsia. LDH was demonstrated to significantly be a better prognostic test in detection of preeclampsia severity.

To find the perceived stress level and monetary burden in the thalassemia patients and their caregivers related to thalassemia treatment sessions. ⋯ More than half of the patients and caregivers were having a high perceived stress levels and there was a significant association between the two groups. The monetary burden was a lot to bear by the patients and the cost of treatment session most expensive.

Many factors affect quality of life (QOL) of dialysis patients. This study was conducted to determine the effect of socio-economic factors effecting QOL of hemodialysis patients. ⋯ The socio-economic factors consisting of education, employment, income and funding are important parameters affecting QOL of kidney patients. QOL does not affect mortality of the dialysis patients.
