To record the dentition, jaw and facial growth and development of children with class II malocclusion at the age of 7-8 years old in the early dental transitional stage with 3D technology and to provide the study basis for the growth and development parameters of normal children and children with class II malocclusion. ⋯ The dentition scanning results suggested that the study group had significantly larger anterior overbite and anterior overjet and smaller width of the upper arch than the control group; there was a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). The 3D reconstruction of the lower mandible suggested that the study group had smaller Go angle and SNB angle and shorter ANS-Me distance, Go-Me distance and N-Me distance compared to the control group; the differences had statistical significance (P<0.05). The face scanning results demonstrated that the nasolabial angle and facial convexity angle of the study group were significantly larger than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).

To assess the knowledge, attitude, and practice of cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) among junior doctors in 13 tertiary care hospitals of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. ⋯ Awareness regarding CPR is essential for all doctors. Many authorities in developed countries are giving CPR training to the general population whereas in Pakistan, many of the doctors never had CPR training. The current study showed the clear majority wants hands-on CPR training. Hospital authorities may find this as an opportunity to improve the knowledge and skills of health workers.

To determine the possible changes in the conducting properties of the fast pathway after modification of the atrioventricular slow pathway for AVNRT which leads to the failure of the induction of tachycardia. ⋯ Our study showed that ablation of AV nodal slow pathway for atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia leads to changes in the effective refractory period of the fast pathway.

To investigate the efficacy of free flap transplantation on the repair of tissue defects after oral and maxillofacial malignant tumor resection and its effects on serum sialic acid (SA) and interleukin-2 (IL-2). ⋯ The application of free flap transplantation in the repair of postoperative tissue defects of oral and maxillofacial tumor resection is effective and has less complications, and the determination of both serum SA and IL-2 levels offers important references to recovery of patients with oral and maxillofacial tumors and prognosis evaluation.

To investigate the adaptation of pregnant women to the recommended weight gain range according to body mass index (BMI) and to determine the factors affecting them. ⋯ The groups with overweight and obese pregnant women according to BMI before pregnancy had the highest rates of weight gain, above the recommended limits. BMI before pregnancy directly affects weight gain during pregnancy and the importance of pre-pregnancy counseling and weight loss is emphasized once again.
