Harlequin Ichthyosis (HI) is a dreadful skin disorder with steady rise of cases with prolonged survival. Harlequin fetus follows an autosomal recessive pattern with the incidence of 1in 300,000 live births. ⋯ The newborn remained under extensive intensive care in a tertiary care unit where he breathed his last on 11th day after birth. Prenatal diagnosis and genetic counseling is of vital importance due to the association of ABCA12 mutation with HI.

Besides known risk scoring systems, studies have recently been conducted in relation to NLR to estimate the prognosis of HL. Some studies found a relationship of NLR with PFS and OS. Our objective was to investigate whether NLR, as an inexpensive and easily accessible test, is a prognostic marker for cHL, as in several previous studies. ⋯ High NLR values were found to be significantly related to disease stage, early-stage risk scoring and response to the treatment. These findings need to be supported by prospective studies with larger samples for these data to be used prognostic scores.

To present the etiological factors of patients with Retinal Vein Occlusion (RVO) under the age of 50 years. ⋯ Etiological factors that might result in RVO in young individuals should be investigated in detail. Targeted therapies may help to prevent development of new RVOs and potential vascular problems in other organs.

Endotracheal intubation is routinely performed in the critical situations. In order to prevent microaspiration and tracheal injury endotracheal cuff pressure is important to remain constant between 20 and 30 cmH2O. Positive pressure ventilation, duration of intubation, body temperature, and body movements can alter endotracheal cuff pressure. This survey was conducted to evaluate core body temperature and cuff pressure relation with airway pressure simultaneously. ⋯ The pressure of cuff should be checked repeatedly after intubation because of substantial variation over time. Factors other than core body temperature and airway pressure can influence cuff pressure.
