To analyze the clinical effect of budesonide/fomoterol combined with montelukast in the treatment of chronic persistent asthma. ⋯ Budesonide/formoterol powder inhalation combined with montelukast can effectively improve the lung function, reduce the level of inflammatory factors, and accelerate the regression of symptoms in the treatment of chronic persistent asthma. It is worth clinical application.

Patients with low ejection fraction undergoing isolated CABG surgery are at a higher risk for postoperative complications and mortality. This study was conducted to evaluate the impact of ejection fraction on the outcome of isolated Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG). ⋯ The results clearly indicate that worsening pre-operative ejection fraction is associated with a higher mortality post-operatively in patients undergoing isolated CABG. In addition, use of IABP increases as pre-operative LVEF decreases.

To compare curative effect and safety of omeprazole under different treatment courses in treatment of children with peptic ulcer (PU, diameter≤1.0cm) and helicobacter pylori (HP) infection and its influence on inflammatory cytokines. ⋯ The application of omeprazole in treatment of PU patients with positive HP for four weeks can significantly improve PU cure rate and HP eradication rate, relieve clinical symptoms and reduce inflammatory response, so it deserves to be promoted clinically.

We conducted this study to assess the prevalence of plagiarism and to shed light on some dark aspects of this issue. The main objectives included to find out the etiology, prevalence, and detection of various forms plagiarism. ⋯ We found a noticeable prevalence of plagiarism in Iran. Many factors are involved in this misconduct; most important being the need for academic staff and students to publish e more papers regardless of their quality to meet some of the academic requirements. Considering the high rank of Iran in terms of scientific growth worldwide, it is expected from the regulatory authorities to monitor all aspects of scientific misconducts in medical journalism.

A paradigm shift towards a PBL bidirectional dialogic feedback can enhance learners' performance. This study aimed to investigate undergraduate medical students' perceptions of their PBL feedback. ⋯ Many of our PBL tutors have started the shift to a dialogic bi-directional feedback. We recommend continuing the faculty development efforts, peer-reviewing, and seeking student's feedback within the academic quality satisfaction surveys.
