Obesity with its growing prevalence is a major public health problem influencing gestational age at delivery. Raised Body Mass Index (BMI) has been shown to be associated with significantly increased risk of prolonged pregnancy; which is an important contributor to perinatal morbidity and mortality. Obesity needs modified antenatal, intrapartum and postpartum care by obstetrician. Limited data is found regarding association of obesity with prolonged pregnancy and the same fact led us to search for this association. ⋯ Higher pre-pregnancy BMI is associated with increased risk of postdates pregnancy.

To evaluate the clinical and biochemical effects of (SGLT2) inhibitors as a fourth oral anti-diabetic drug in patients with Type-2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). ⋯ SGLT-2 is an effective oral anti-diabetic medicine that can help individuals with diabetes who are currently using glucose-lowering oral anti-diabetic medications. These medications can help diabetic patients stick to their regimen.

To investigate the diagnostic effect of lung ultrasound on neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (NRDS) and to analyze the clinical application value of pulmonary ultrasound score. ⋯ Lung ultrasound has a high diagnostic value in diagnosing NRDS, and lung ultrasound score can evaluate the severity of NRDS in babies to further optimize the diagnosis results, which has important clinical significance.

This study was aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of vortioxetine hydrobromide in the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD). ⋯ Voltaxetine can improve cognitive function and clinical symptoms of patients with severe depression and has high safety, which is worth clinical attention.

To compare the outcome prophylactic antibiotics and routine pre-surgical and post-surgical in terms of incidence of surgical site infection (SSI) and to explore the effect of various factors such as duration of surgery and patient characteristics (if any). ⋯ Both the treatments, prophylactic antibiotics and routine pre-surgical and post-surgical were equally effective. However, we recommend the administration of prophylactic since they are cost-effective and prevent bacterial drug resistance.
