To compare the efficacy of Ondansetron versus Domperidone for treating vomiting in acute gastroenteritis (AGE) in children at a resource limited emergency setting of South Punjab, Pakistan. ⋯ In comparison to Domperidone, Ondansetron was found to have better efficacy aiming cessation of AGE associated vomiting among children with mild to moderate dehydration.

Politics in education is not a new concept and has been a sore point of discussion between academia and policy makers. The politics of medical education has led to the formation of informal guilds that have taken control over medical education. ⋯ The paper will discuss that politics of medical education is not necessarily a bad thing if it ensures public safety and is based on best evidence medical education. In the same context the guilds formed for medical education reforms should uphold the principles of pedagogy.

Deflating abdominal pseudocyst causing temporary normalization of ventriculoperitoneal shunt malfunction.
Ventriculoperitoneal shunt (VPS)-related abdominal pseudocyst (APC) is a rare cause of shunt malfunction. Variable VPS function due to APC has not been described before. A 21-year-old male with hydrocephalus and bilateral VPS presented with a right-sided shunt malfunction. ⋯ Key Messages: A collapsible abdominal pseudocyst could result in a variable ventriculoperitoneal shunt function. Starting the abdominal ultrasound examination over the location of the peritoneal catheter tip may overcome the collapse. Contrasted computed tomography is superior to ultrasound in diagnosing the pseudocyst.

To compare critical thinking of undergraduate medical students of institutes following traditional and integrated curriculum at Twin cities. ⋯ Critical thinking was found high among the students with the integrated curriculum as compared to the conventional.

To investigate the changes in the expression levels of peripheral blood immunoregulatory T lymphocytes in children with bronchial asthma accompanied by recurrent infection. ⋯ Bronchial asthma with recurrent infection may have a close bearing on the expression level of peripheral blood immunoregulatory T lymphocytes, and indirect examination of peripheral blood T lymphocyte level in children can be used clinically to determine the incidence of the disease, which is of high clinical application value.
