The rapid ultrasound in shock examination (RUSH process) is an assessment of patient's heart function, volume status, and vasculature, which can help anesthesiologist understand the patient's physical condition. In this study, the RUSH process was applied to elderly emergency surgery patients to evaluate whether it is beneficial to maintain the patient's vital signs stable during the operation. ⋯ The bedside ultrasound RUSH process is of great significance for anesthesiologist to understand the preoperative physical condition of elderly emergency surgery patients, and is beneficial to maintain the stability of intraoperative vital signs.

To determine the effects of donor and red blood cells concentrate characteristics on recipient hemoglobin increment following red blood cells transfusion in pediatric patients. ⋯ Donors' age and Rh blood group and red blood cell concentrates' washing accounts for significant rise in recipient's post-transfusion hemoglobin. These factors may be used to predict changes in recipients' hemoglobin before transfusion.

To analyze the application efficiency of two tracers for sentinel lymph node mapping in patients with endometrial cancer. ⋯ Nano activated carbon can obtain good detection effect in sentinel lymph node recognition in endometrial cancer patients, with shorter tracing time and higher total duration than methylene blue suspension.

To investigate the correlations of initial lab and imaging findings in COVID-19 patients of different clinical types. ⋯ The CT features at initial diagnosis of COVID-19 were mainly characterized by multiple GGO with or without partial consolidation in both lungs, with the lesions mainly distributed at the subpleural regions. Some lab test indexes were correlated with the clinical types of COVID-19.

The study aimed at isolation of CD117+ stem cells from amniotic fluid samples followed by their invitro differentiation towards nephron progenitors that can be potentially used for regenerative medicine studies and to further understand pathways involved in renal pathogenesis. ⋯ To the best of our knowledge this is the first study from the country on the use of Amniotic fluid stem cells and their differentiation towards nephron progenitors that can be used as substitution source of cell therapy for exploration of renal diseases at cellular and molecular level and potential regenerative medicine applications.
